Other Sports: Philadelphia Phillies: The Road To .500 Continues Into Red October (2024 Edition)

They got the win they needed, one thing they couldnt have done is gotten swept. Lead is 8 games. It was 6 games on Memorial Day. So in the past 6 weeks in which the Phillies are 20-15 ("only" a 93 win pace) they have gained 2 games on the Braves. A win would have great today but it wasnt a disastrous weekend since they took 1 game.

Blooper must be dealt with. He’s gone too far this time.

God, i'm so happy they are back!

Props to Dahl for filling in admirably for a bit, but his bat really fell off towards the end; unsurprisingly.

Trea is absolute dogshit at SS.

Wheeler bails out the shoddy Defense by Bryce and especially Trea.

Saw on mlbtraderumors the Nats are looking to be sellers and Lane Thomas one of the names mentioned. He does still have one more year of arbitration control and I don't really view him as a full-time player.

But as a platoon guy to face lefties (and have on the bench to bring in against a lefty reliever)

hitting .338 with a .971 OPS against lefty pitchers this year with a career .308 BA and .893 OPS against them.

Phils pitchers determined to make it interesting, like they usually do if we get out to a big lead.
