The outlier sure, and in 2009 he actually had a good fielding season compared to his prior ones and the seasons after. Maybe Trea can improve to just average, doubt it though. Would love to see it.

If they lose, it will be because their pitching or hitting implodes at the worst time. That’s how it always goes. That’s how it has went the last 2 years. It won’t be because Turner is a crap fielder. That’s maybe 33rd on the list. Besides him and Castellanos, they’re mostly fine-good in the field.

Alvarado hadnt allowed a regular season home run to a lefty for nearly two years up until today.

Their pitching imploding would surprise me despite their bullpen being bad the past month or so , it's more that their lineup will be exploited. It would just be nice if their shortstop would stop giving the other team baserunners. Still I dont think the sky is falling with their shaky near .500 play since Memorial day, jut some reasons for concerns. The next two weeks will be difficult with the schedule and west coast trip.

haven't watched a lot this year..but sounds like Turner should really be DHing..so again we have a few too many DH types
Even a bad SS probably isn't a "DH type". Guessing he'd move to 2nd or maybe the outfield but that's probably not a real discussion right now.

If we're not upgrading the manager....... time to sell. Gear up for when we get a real manager.

When was the last night there was a Yankees/Red Sox series that was over the weekend and wasnt on Sunday Night baseball? The Astros/Dodgers (two very large teams and markets) had a series this weekend and this would be the perfect time to put Ohtani on national tv. People want to see him play. The MLB has a hard time getting out of its way alot.

They can't put Ohtani on national TV since he's been caught betting on baseball
