I mean all it does is take slugging percentage + on base percentage and both of those have existed for decades.

On base plus slugging... literally the name of the stat. t's amazing how some people can be confused about it. People treat it like it's some statcast sabermetric when it's literally less complicated/involved than OBP lol

He waits too long to get the next guy up. Doesnt sense trouble coming quick enough even when we can as fans. Easily his biggest flaw.

I think part of it is having such a big lead in the division. Though that can change fast.

Phillies lucked out that O'Neill Cruz had dreads because Sosa misplayed that tag so badly. The ball beat Cruz to 2B by a lot. All Sosa had to do was defend 2B, instead he got deked out when Cruz pulled back his lead arm.

Alvarado got pinched on a call or two, but that also happens when your catcher (Stubbs) is one of the worst framing catchers in baseball. I think he's routinely in the bottom 10% of catchers.
