Don’t want to look ahead too much as the series certainly isn’t in the bag yet, but if we go to the WS, unsure who I’d like to face. Perhaps I’m fine with whatever fate throws at us. Astros rematch could be interesting for many reasons; obviously a back to back rematch, a chance for revenge against an unlikeable team, a team that is great at home but meh on the road vs a team that can’t win at home but great on the road, etc, etc. I’m unsure what to think about Texas. Sometimes I think they are great, other times they are the easier of the ALCS teams to beat. But be careful what you wish for.

Either way, let’s wrap this up in 6. It ain’t over yet. Nola day on Monday at home. Go Phil’s

The issue with playing the Astros (if we even get there), and we win? I'll want to root for the Astros the following year for a rubber match.

Kyle Schwarber seems to be great when it matters most. The 2022 NLCS, 2022 WS, 2023 NLCS combined at a quick glance:

16 games 52 AB 18 H 19 R 11 HR 13 RBI 17 BB

If they get to that point I'm leaning towards just wanting home field, which means Astros.
The Astros are like 17-3 or something in their 20 road games or so. At Minutemaid Park however is a different story . Not counting the Phillies to the World Series just yet but Id rather them play Texas if they were to get there. Their bullpen is so shaky unlike the Astros (which just throws up 0 after 0).

Hey, make the WS, thats all that matters. According to ESPN, the WS doesn't start until Fri. That would give all pitchers a time to rest. I would rather face the Rangers, but it really doesn't matter, once you are in the WS, you know you are facing a tough team.

If the Phillies end up winning the NLCS and the Astros win the ALCS, they should pitch around Alvarez. Postseason monster and the most dangerous hitter IMO

Massive bases loaded full count strike out on Singleton. Texas is 3 outs away from Game 7.
