Both pens are spent. The bats came alive in the second half. We have 3 great pitchers in row coming up. The series runs through Philly. I get people are emotional and it was a bad loss but the series is 2-2. It’s not close to over or hopeless.
If he is pitches like he did game 1 they should be fine. No pulling him after 82 pitches though.

Kimbrel always sucks when it's not a save situation. It's been like that for his whole f***ing career.
Why the f*** Topper decided to put him in when he did the last 2 games is f***ing incompetent. Holy shit the guy has a history of choking leads when it's not a save situation, so why do it in back to back nights.
This kind of bullshit gets other managers fired. I get that you like to play it by ear but holy shit it's like he doesn't even acknowledge what has happened before

4D chess. Use Wheeler and Ranger tomorrow. Nola and a semi refreshed bullpen in game 6. A well rested Walker in game 1 of WS. He bafflingly dominates
If Wheeler goes 7 innings all should be well. Just pulling him so early along with other starters is hurting them now.

With better management we aren't even playing tomorrow. f***ing Christ we are going to have to burn through a long start of Wheeler in hopes that we return to CBP only needing to split and not sweep. And if we do go to the WS he's probably going to be cooked when we need him to go.

Meh. I’m somehow not as upset as I thought I’d be.
They were going to need to add runs going into those last two plus innings knowing who was going to be pitching and they didn’t.

Arizona's is the same shape. Rob said Ranger will be available tomorrow out of the bullpen. Ideally Wheeler gives them 18+ outs and I dont expect a quick hook for him. They had the game to be won and they gave it away.
Kimbrel is done and his 1st half was a mirage. He was done last year. The manager just doesnt see it.

Anyone who has watched kimbrel in the last 6 weeks knows hes cooked. Constant base runners and has relied on great defensive plays to bail him out. After last night, totally irresponsible to use him tonight.
Couldve Lorenzen for an inning or two earlier. Or how about Nola for an inning at the end? When they had the lead that shouldve been on the table. Had to win this game at that point.
Now you go into tomorrow with no one to throw past wheeler vs their ace and back of the pen who has gotten through our line up. Really neee to get to gallon.
