I don't know if I can handle that. The victory laps by "those" people will be too much to bear.
.195 with a .380 OBP.

I'm shocked it didn't happen to Harper when he signed here. Even nowadays with his elbow related power outage, he's still hitting .290-.300. and still enjoying a well above average WRC+ WOBA+ etc

Will Trae be fine in the long run? I'm sure he will. Even by next season probably. But with the Braves having Strider, Acuna, Riley, etc etc all signed for $50 per year each for the next 30 years, the window of this team is far from wide open. Especially when you consider what the pitching is going to look like once after the Nola/Wheeler era ends.

Castallenos 2.0. It's super great he's hitting again this year, but we could have used him last year. Bum.
Harper’s first year here turned out to be his worst offensive season over a five year stretch though. Definitely something in the water.

True, but still a great season. I looked at his bref earlier to check in on his ops+ this season so this is going from memory, but I seem to remember a 125 ops+ his first year here. Still great. His obp suffered a bit that year relative to career norms didn't it? I remember it being his worst ops of his career. Or close to it.

What I'm trying to say is Castallenos and Turner (so far) turned in bona fide failure years. Harper's definitely wasn't a failure

I'm so glad these guys decided to do this in August despite elbow pain in May. A+

Apparently both the Angels & Tigers broadcast trucks have lost power and ability to broadcast in Detroit.

The Angels broadcasters are calling the game via their cellphone lol

Taijuan Walker career splits
1st half: 3.58 ERA, 575.1 IP
2nd half: 4.59 ERA, 376.2 IP

Once he hits the 100 IP on a season he become a lot more hittable.

what is going on. did harper and turners wife have an argument or something? they just don't seem like the same players.

It’s not sustainable for all five of Harper, Realmuto, Turner, Castellanos, & Schwarber to suck at the same time at the plate but boy is it frustrating to watch right now.

Assuming Thompson doesn’t punt the game with the mass subs it’s sad I have more faith in the bottom of their lineup right now than the top.

Those 5 this year $118.7m
.248 BA/.322 OBP/.429 SLG/ .751 OPS

Stott/Bohm/Marsh $2.2M
.287 BA/.344 OBP/.432 SLG/.776 OPS

Obviously Harper's offense impacted from the TJ, but hell he's still been the best hitter of that 'big 5'

BTW if there's ANYONE who should know *WHAT* Gibson throws it should be Realmuto and dude's struck out twice lol.
