Kershaw was fine during the regular season. Looks like they tapered his workload in September to prep for the playoffs as well. I don't think he's cooked.

The Phils will draw first blood.

Give the teams that are sitting at home a free win or something.

I don’t like it but…
Honestly, they'll just invite a couple more teams so that everyone plays in the first round. The rest absolutely kills good teams every year to the point where it might be better to play in the wildcard round unless you get a crap team in the divisional round that allows you to find your way again

Yeah, that probably qualifies. Although the French Connection was scary good.
True but Parent was such a huge advantage over the Sabres goaltending tandem. Plus, the Sabres were so intimidated when they played in the Spectrum.

If not for the shitty ice and fog in their dime store arena, the Flyers would have won in 5.

It's not like these teams aren't benefiting from a layoff. I'm not sure if Fried would've been available in the old format.

The fact of the matter is, one of the best players in baseball (Bryce) missed over a month a had the power of Ben Revere for the next two months. The Braves arent really 16 games better than the Phillies. Them potentially winning this series wouldnt be a historic upset.
