Wouldn't surprise me if they're using this week to tweak his slider - it's a plus pitch, but if they can get him to throw it with a little more consistency and command, he'll be unhittable with that FB.

I think he went through four levels of the organization this season so he's probably not a finished product.

Seems kinda lame. The Rays are 1 game from being eliminated for the AL East. They need to win all 3 games and have the Orioles lose all 4 of their games.

Seems like they decide to 'celebrate' making the playoffs *before* they're eliminated from the AL East even though they already clinched the a playoff spot and the possible top wild-card last week. They didn't celebrate because they wanted to focus on chasing the division. Now that they may be eliminated from catching the Orioles for the AL East as soon as today they decide to 'playoff celebrate' last night.
