He didn’t choke.

The staff is a big reason that they’re halfway decent this year.
6 earned in 10 innings in the world series is a huge choke job. Nola and Wheeler folded like a house of cards in the WS, appropriately foreshadowing the house of cards that is the 2023 season

Wheeler only gave them 10.1 innings over 2 WS starts, allowing 9 hits, 4 walks, and 6 ER. He stunk in the WS.
They were trying to carry him to the finish line. His arm was cooked. He was put on the IL in August last year with arm issues and were trying to get him rest.

People forget that going into the World Series we weren’t even sure if he was going to pitch. Alvarado gave up the bomb to Alvarez and those were the only runs he gave up in the second game. He did as much as you could expect from him given the situation.

That’s not choking.

It’s also 2022. That’s what happens now. Pitchers aren’t going 7 or 8 anymore and they had what they thought was a lights out bullpen. I don’t even know if he broke 70 pitches in either of those games.

This is my fault, I’m sorry. Technically I bet on the Phillies even though it was a prop.

When does the Schwarber experience end? I'm ready for it to end. Throw that annual money (and Nola's) at Shohei.

What a potent lineup this is. Mashed Williams around as expected
