Ffs, with 19 players, it's a miracle we even got the point. I take it and lol at Philly's History will be made moment in October.
 
That's not a goal. What are some of you confused about? Williams did the same thing to the Sharks last playoffs. Schenn pushed Quick back. Even ever so slightly, he still pushes him. You cant throw a puck low and use the goalies moment and push him so you score. No goal.
 
Apparently the Flyers announcers missed the skates and legs pushing Quick back into the net. They say, "That's a goal. No way does the blade of a stick push a 200+ lbs person into the net.".
 
Doughty was poor
Muzzin was poor (but playing hurt)
Voynov is sitting on the couch
Greene had a brainfart that lead to a goal
Regehr is up and down
McNabb as expected is erratic

Defense is not getting it done
 
I thought it was a good goal, but on the overhead view the contact was pretty clear before the puck goes in.
 
I think that was a combination of Quick being mad at the call and just pissed at the escort service style defense the Kings played tonight.

Whatever that was that Brayden McNabb did with under 10 minutes to go in the third in a 2-2 game just can't happen at the NHL level, that was as bad a defensive play as we will likely see from the Kings all year. Not only was it an awful physical play it was a brain fart with the game situation and Giroux and Simmonds on the ice.

The play by Muzzin in OT was bad to. I thought Muzz was beyond stuff like that.
 
There was contact, so I don't think Quick is mad without reason, but when he watches video, I think he'll know he was going to give it up anyway because he was sliding backwards before Schenn makes contact.

I think most of us are simply relieved to get the extra point.

There are very, very few Flyers fans left who are bullish on Schenn. We run the spectrum of mildly-disappointed-but-content to firebreathing hatred. Me? He's got a 1st line skillset, 3rd line grit, 4th line skating, and AHL hockey IQ.

Anyway, fun game. Thought that the call at the end could have gone either way.

It was in his left leg pad, at his knee.

Dude kicked his left leg and spun him, pushing him back.The puck was IN FRONT of quicks knee the whole time, and contact was made with quicks leg before it crossed the line.

Bad call.
 
Don't really care about the goal because the play shoudln't have happened in the first place.

That's what happens when guys play such big minutes. Their brains turn to mush. Exhibit A: Muzzin. Exhibit B: Doughty. You stop skating to conserve energy and the whole D zone becomes a turnstile.
 
Personally it could have gone either way. If Schenn don't touch Quick I say he doesn't go in the net but oh well. After Detroits debacle of a call last year nothing bothers me.
 
Got a point, lucky to have that with that start.

Hopefully Kopi back for the next one. Good to see Richards get a tally.
 
Fun game regardless. If you think teams don't get up for the Kings, check out the Flyers' reactions...just like the Sharks and Yotes.

Not a bad result considering the situation, but I have a feeling this trip gets even uglier on Thursday and Friday. Probably not going to win unless a goalie steals us one.
