if another team hires Rhule, does it offset any portion of the salary owed to him from the Panthers, or does he get that 42 million no matter what?

I know these guys are wired differently from me. It's just hard to fathom ever going back to work if I'm getting that much money over the next several years.

It always amazes me you don't see more players or coaches retire early in pro sports.

Maybe I'm just lazy, but I feel like if I was 30 years old and had played 5-8 years or something and you have already accumulated like 30 + million, I would have a very real itch to just hang em up and relax. Like if you are Melo or Westbrook and you've already made 250 million + in salary alone, do you really feel the need to try to keep playing until 40?
