So… at that point in the game from what I can tell going for two there wasn’t the optimum move. The chart does however encourage going for two when up 8 earlier in the game.
Wait the 2 point attempt that Smith dropped with like 5 min left to make it a 17 pt lead is one the numbers supported right? Makes sense.

But that 4th down gofer with within the 2 minute warning leaving a 40 yard fg on the table to make it a 11 point lead the numbers didn't support right? Makes sense.

I'm confused as to what the other guy was talking about. What PAT? The one in the first scenario right? Who WOULDN'T go for 2 there lol

I misremembered the sequence but the results are still the same (sans it saying to do it earlier in the game).

The numbers say to kick the PAT after the touchdown up 15 (Smith pass).

The numbers also said to kick the FG on fourth down.

I can't believe that, but if that's what the analytics say, I won't argue.

But I'd still go for 2.

For the second one yeah that's obvious. But for all we know Elliot said no. He missed going that way from a shorter distance and already had to take a few oxy earlier

IMO something needs to be done to make onside kicks more recoverable.

A new technique, something.

Lions defense...Arg...

Im more excited about this team than I was about the 2017 team when they won in LA. They might be the favorite for the rest of their games today. This was not an easy game especially after falling behind by 14. They took control after that and dominated.

What a win...200+ yards on the top rushing defense in awful conditions with injuries everywhere

Going undefeated is such an absurd concept but I am still really having trouble finding the game on the schedule they lose.

Packers? Cowboys? Gotta be one of those right.....right?
