OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

I really like Nick but firing Doug was something I still think was wrong even though he was too loyal to certain guys in his coaching staff without a doubt.

Just one hell of a coach. And now he might have just made sure that Sirianni really has to prove his worth because I absolutely see the Chargers firing Staley and hiring Steichen now unfortunately.

But well. What an awesome game.

Yeah FWIW, Doug really wanted to leave basically - so I consider it tragic, but they were kind of all tired of each other by that point

That was only part of it. It was also due to assistant coaches
Yeah, I remember Howie *reportedly* saying they need an outside hire for OC, Doug said "we're going with Press Taylor", Howie said "the f*** you are!', Doug stood there with his arms crossed, and then Howie fired him.

::this is all a dramatization of the real event, but it's basically 95% accurate I'd bet::

How in the utter hell do you blow a 27 point lead at the half??? How does Lawrence get picked off three times in the first quarter alone and stay in to win it? Is the Matrix glitching?
One team is a much better organization than the other is what happens. That’s what Doug does for them.

That’s the question Spanos should be asking since everyone keeps telling him he’s got the superstar QB.

Well this game sucks. I don’t think Thompson is manufacturing a comeback nor do I think Buffalo is choking like last night’s game.
