Have no idea if this guy is good, but he sure as hell looks the part.

As far as Swift, I get the eye rolling and being over it, but really, who cares? Just look the other way when they put her on screen lol
In Seattle, Hurt changed the Seattle Scheme from a 4/3 to a 3/4 which seemed odd given that they didn't have the personnel at the time where you thought that made sense. But, he'll be running the DL for Fangio's scheme.

But, DL was the weak link for the Hawks D the past couple of seasons against the run. They were up there in QB sacks in 2023, but the run D... Whoof.... In his 3 years as DC, his D forced the opposition into 0 or 1 punts in like 7 of 34 games (ie. couldn't get off the field). The prior 12 seasons under Carroll, the Hawks did that only 6 times.

Hurt, probably isn't cut out to be a DC. Just like some DCs are not cut out to be a HC.

I think Andy Reid is one of the best coaches of all time but there’s a difference in having a QB like Mahomes who’s not only the best of his generation but is tracking to be one of the best all-time as well. Compared to the likes of Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Alex Smith, etc. who were in that good to very good range of QBs. McNabb is the one where he got pretty much all of his best years & even then there always multiple QBs better than him during those years which most of them won the Super Bowls.

Nobody really complains about Reid’s game management anymore. I doubt it doesn’t still happen, he just has QB that doesn’t have him living on razor thin margins anymore.

This is most interesting to me because Washington has a road to a high end QB prospect. I wonder how far apart they were.

I'm shocked it fell this way. The new ownership is competent enough to understand Ben was a great add. They also understand spending money is necessary...so it possibly coming down to (largely) money is perplexing to me.

The coaching market can be real fickle, especially if the Lions have issues next year and Goff looks pedestrian.

Alright, today's the day I'm going to say ESP is just flat-out not using his brain.

How is keeping Ben Johnson away from a division rival, and also as an option in 2025 if Nick is fired, a *bad* thing for the Eagles compared to what's going on now?

It’s not a question of being overexposed. It’s just impossible to understand why anyone would care too much about a handful of cutaways in a game. You don’t miss any of the game itself. It replaces other random fan shots. I have no interest in her whatsoever. But that’s very different than being angry she’s in some camera shots. Hell, it’s strongly preferable to cuts to Mahomes’ wife spraying champagne on people in the cold like a jerk.

And also, some people get weird about it. But not anyone here that I can see.

I miss damned near every cutaway because all I'm looking for are replays. I missed the Kelce shirtless moment. My goal has been to finally understand NFL defenses on a real level so I'm going through roster lists to see what sets were being used and trying to figure out what everyone was doing vs what they were showing.

I've failed miserably. I am too stupid for this. But I've basically missed all the Swift stuff. Because it's all happening at times that don't matter. If I were just staring at the TV nonstop, then I'd certainly continue not caring because it doesn't matter at all. I'd certainly rather see 15 cuts to Taylor Swift and her friends than seeing Mark Davis' face and hair 25 times a game. Now THAT is actually, truly offensive.

My first thought was back to the Josina Anderson report a month or two back that he was asking for 15 per.

Given some of the jobs that may open up next year, I don’t think it’s impossible that he gets a better one. Most people just take the best first opportunity they can. For example, does Andy retire? Would they just go with Spags or try to keep him through regimes? Dallas? Philadelphia?

If that report about cancelling while Washington officials were in the air is true, it would be nutty, though. That’s no way to handle yourself.

They were going to see Glenn though too, right?
