Right, but people are going to talk about Campbell's aggressiveness as foolishness. The truth is, that aggressiveness puts massive pressure on the Niners ... when his players don't let him down by making simple mistakes. I hate when my team plays against someone like that - it makes me nervous as shit because they don't let you off the hook and kick. It was the mistakes that killed them, not Campbell's decisions.
Gonna have to agree to disagree to a degree on this. If you have a QB that can actually run two yards like a big boy you can go on 4th down more often. Goff didn't have to be Josh Allen to get two yards when needed but he threw it anyway, numerous times. If Brock freaking Purdy can do it, anyone can. You can't mix a QB that's apparently scared to run a few, yards with a coach that thinks he's playing Madden and passing on FGs.

Reynolds catches that ball and everyone is singing a different tune. Suddenly they're within 25 yards of the end zone with a (what was it?) 14? point lead halfway through the 3rd quarter. If that leads to a TD or 3 more minutes off the clock and a chip shot field goal the game is completely different.

Reynolds is a bum. Goff missing Laporta toward the end of the first half also makes him a bum. Wide open

Trying to decide what I liked more, Romo being an idiot or Olsen trying to make up drama after every play and being wrong. (Trav and Tat Tays kiss after the game was totes magotes.)

The Eagles might be the most dysfunctional org in the league, but at least they're not the biggest asshole losers. I'd like to reiterate that goes to the Lions. f***ing dickheads

I'm very uncertain he's this good in another offense.
I have a buddy who does watch a lot of college tape and enjoys scouting (obviously not professionally), and I will give him credit on Purdy--he was and still is a big fan of his, and thought he should've gone higher than he did in his draft.

But I said the same thing to him last night--the guy makes a lot of bad throws that almost get intercepted but don't. We saw it against GB and again last night. If GB makes those INT's, or Detroit does, then no one is talking about him being this burgeoning superstar.

To me, he's just another guy.

I have a Goff vibe. Put him in the wrong offense? Disappointment. Put him in the right offense? Alright then

Both are clearly in the right offenses for them, though, so whatever

Just finished watching the games.

Hard to feel too sorry for the Ravens and Lions (who I was both rooting for). If you shoot yourself in the foot repeatedly and practically beg to lose the game, opposing teams will happily oblige in the playoffs.

Now, for the Super Bowl. Am I sick and tired of the Chiefs playing in the Super Bowl (seemingly) every year? Yes, I am. Am I sick and tired of the Taylor Swift circus? Yes, I am. (Has nothing to do with her specifically, these media/celebrity hype trains/circuses always annoy me. Hell, I hated the Kelce Bowl storyline and I love Jason.) Do I think that Mahomes exposed himself to be an entitled, whiny, little b*tch after that Bill game where the (correct) call went against them? Yes, I do.

However, does any of this matter? No, it does not. F*** the b*tch ass Niners. F*** their b*tch ass coach. F*** their b*tch ass players. F*** their b*tch ass fans. Go Chiefs!!

I'm amazed that anyone can cheer for the Chiefs after they ripped our hearts out last year. Didn't even do it fair and square either. Had a lot of help from the league. Just like they did yesterday. f*** the Chiefs. f*** the Niners. Preferring either team to win is an egregious sin. The only correct take is f*** THIS WHOLE f***ING SUPER BOWL.

Love Andy, and give Travis credit, despite the media circus, had a great game, that's called "focus," something the Ravens lacked.

Meh, I don't blame the Chiefs for that loss. Eagles defense went AWOL in the 2nd half. I don't feel sorry for teams that blow games like that. That includes the Eagles, even in the Super Bowl.

Plus, like @ajgoal said, Andy is still the coach there.

4 personal fouls and 1 taunting call is INEXCUSABLE.

I really would prefer if neither team won, but obviously that's not going to happen.

I'd also like this to be the least-watched SB ever, but I don't think that's going to happen either.

All that said...I really don't want the Niners to win because I don't think Purdy is anything special and yet he keeps getting talked up like he is, and the whole team is just very unlikeable (starting w/ the the HC). On the flipside, Mahomes and Kelce's on-field stuff has become very unlikeable too (Mahomes, specifically since Travis already had the rep of a bit of a punk on field).

A thing that Harbaugh remains great at it getting his guys absolutely fired up. Unfortunately, he's a little too good at it. The Ravens under him have a king history of taking penalties from getting carried away.

I don't think he was overly aggressive, he knows if the game is tied Purdy is a good bet to shred his defense and win the game - so he wants the TD. It's not so much that Purdy is a great QB, but the Lion's defense just isn't that good.

SF has the perfect team for Purdy, he's smart, accurate but doesn't have the arm for big plays, so he depends on YAC, and they have the best group of YAC receivers in the NFL. A bit like Drew Brees, who didn't have a great arm after the shoulder injury, but could pick you apart with short passes. Or going back, Joe Montana and the WCO before the league understood how to defend it and a great group of skill people who were good fits for his average arm.

Chiefs didn't do anything to us other than play better, IMO. I respect that.

I do not respect the Niners or their fans.

Also Andy is great and Mahomes is a marvel.

I've liked the Chiefs and the 49ers since the days of Len Dawson and John Brodie. Have absolutely no problem with this Super Bowl. Although I would have loved to see the Lions make it.
