Holy hell why do people care so much about this "Big Dom" stuff. And why are people actually calling him Big Dom? Like actual media outlets.
I cared about Big Dom before it was cool.

His job is a ridiculous one and I don’t mean being the “Ray Donovan” of the Eagles. I’ve told this story before but I traveled with the team to Detroit once on the team flight. When Pederson went to the bathroom, Dom followed him and blocked the aisle.

Yes, he followed the Head Coach on a plane that was all team personnel or people invited by the team.

It was unbelievable.

Reminds me of the time that Sirianni said that he was going to call the plays through Steichen who would relay them to the coach any yet anytime they panned to Sirianni he was never saying anything.

Oh wait, they officially stripped him of the title and gave it to Patricia? That doesn’t remind me of what I said at all then.

I have seen Matt Patricia defenses before. I assure you it can be worse. Much worse.

The man screwed up a top tier Corner prospect's NFL transition so badly that it took him 3 years to get right.
Desai's defenses were trash. When was the last time that defense had a good game? The Kennedy administration? Sick of the hype that guy gets. I'm of course being overdramatic for the memes, but I'm still like 25% serious.

The real crime is Johnson walks free.

Just take solace in the fact that this all points back to Gannon being a jabroni.

Let that fuel your hatred even more.
Fangio doesn't fix anything. This group, as always outside of the D line, is trash. It's the same thing every season

It’s not Matt Patricia. That’s a big deal.

Glazer says the change is official.

I just flat out don’t think Matt Patricia has ever been good in a DC role. Never. I am…worried.

I'm not very high on Patricia either, to put it nicely.

I also think a lot of problems by the defense were caused by the defense playing like a thousand snaps against the Chiefs, Bills, 9ers & Cowboys. Players were visibly tired/gassed against the 9ers and Cowboys.

Still, the defensive performances, even if they were tired, were brutal recently. 3rd down defense catastrophic.

So I'm kind of open to try something new. Even if it is with 4 weeks to go in the regular season. Even if it is Patricia.

I've reread your comment about 8 times and still don't understand it. Granted I did just wake up.

More like Matt Patrashia amirite
I’m saying that Fangio wouldn’t have necessarily fixed it all but he wouldn’t have been pushed aside for Patricia.

Patricia is as bad as they come. So if Gannon didn’t do what he did we’d never be in a world where Patricia is where he’s now at.

Patrashia, I like it. I think I will use it.

Speaking of shitty DC, Jim Shorts is seemingly doing a hell of a job in Cleveland. Sure seems like the defensive strategies are mandated from the top here. *cough* Howie *cough*

Week 11 and Week 7.

Desai wasn’t particularly good. It’s just that trying to do this sneakily and the fallback being who it is should be taken as terrifying. I’ve often said they never panic. They panicked in the Dallas game at Home and now I know they panicked this week. The bottom could completely fall out and I would no longer be stunned.

Oh ok so they'd just be bad without changing coaches. Got it

This is where I'm at. I'm not going to judge any DC too harshly until they start putting competent NFL talents in the back seven. Johnson on the other hand...

I would very much like to know who refuses to change the offense. They’re clearly trying to do almost all of the same things they did last year and I don’t believe everyone in the building is stubborn enough to fail to see the problems. So is it Sirianni? Is it Johnson? Is it Hurts? Is it all three? I don’t know how to even approach the topic other than to say they need new ideas. Not the old ones. Those still exist.

It’s primarily Sirianni, IMO.

He’s at the top of my list and too many things are similar through the years for me to look elsewhere.

And you know how much I like to throw a certain someone under the bus…

I think it's that head strong "we want to impose our style" mentality more than anything.

Doug doesn't get a lot of credit around here for the job he did in 17', but the massive reshape of the offense after Wentz went down was a thing of beauty. No ego, just designing around his personnel.
