The worst was in 1982. The Chargers were coming off a victory over Miami in the greatest NFL game of all time and went into Cincinnati and -14 degree (or so) weather. Terrible game, terrible result. Total letdown.

We were just super tough back then. For example, I used to haul buckets of water back and forth to school uphill in the snow both ways. I don't know if you have heard the Eazy-E song "Two Hard Muthas," but that was basically about our whole generation.
