Other Sports: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): THIS IS BRAZIL - Super Bowl LIX Champions

Going to lose a bunch of players on defense though I'm excited about all the young players playing more and developing. Even Davis had some key moments rushing the passer these playoffs.

To be fair, kind of hard to call a game when the opposing team is constantly sending just four & getting to the QB at a crazy rate. I think the Jimmy’s & Joe’s had more to do with last night than the X’s & O’s.

This popped up in my stuff and it was funny because I was expecting a breakdown of the scheme, but the best he's got is "Wow, X dude simply knew where he was supposed to be and who to hit if KC ran Y play in Z situation." The cleverness was that the players were extremely well educated and took control on their level. Great coaches are great teachers though

That's really what Fangio does. He lays the basic groundwork then lets the players react to live situations. I loved it in Denver when he had the dawgs on D but damn the offense was horrible due to no QB and no real weapons

Damn it. Emmanwori at 28. I don't think he's a scheme fit for everyone, but he'd get so much out of this structure.

I think is ideal fit is Washington. That guy was made in a lab to play for Dan Quinn. Extremely not interested in seeing that happen.

Not to get your hopes up, but I give Howie equal odds of staying put, trading up, or trading down from any slot in the draft. If he sees a guy, and thinks that's our guy, he'll go hunting.

I almost always want to trade down and I pay functionally no attention to mocks. This is just Brugler's personal big board, which I respect quite a bit.

This isn't about 32 or the 1st round or predicting anything. My hope was that Emmanwori wouldn't start gaining traction as a 1st rounder and might be available in the late 2nd. I know that I need him to not run great times to achieve this. There is also no way Howie will ever use a 1st on a Safety and I'm fine with that.

As it should be.

Similar to the Seattle cover 3 defence in the LOB days. It’s a simple scheme which asks the players to make plays.
But you needed the talent to execute it at a high level, which as that team aged they could not replace.
Also as more teams copied that scheme with Bradley, Quinn, Saleh, Richard, etc. leaving for other positions they implemented it at their new destinations thus teams got to see more of it and could game plan against it better to find the soft spots or how to put the defender in a difficult position.
