Are we going with OJ because he did it in 14 Games? I believe that's the Yards per Game record still?
Well, yeah, that’s what I was getting at.

I said it a couple of weeks ago that Barkley breaking the record would come with a public asterisk that would be forgotten about in ten years which is exactly what happened here with Dickerson and OJ.

Sure, some people can point out that yards per game is a bigger deal but the general public loves counting stats.

Cause if not he'd have gone 3 weeks without throwing a pass. Though if he is still in the protocol then nothing they can do.
I don't think they'd put him out there without the first string line and I have zero interest in losing one of them for Jalen to get a couple touches.

Don't think the juice is worth the squeeze.

What were they waiting for? The division to be 100% out of reach?

Barry Sanders 1997 - 6.1 YPC 335 ATT
OJ Simpson 1973 - 6.0 YPC 332 ATT
Adrian Peterson 2012 - 6.0 YPC 348 ATT
Saquon Barkley 2024 - 5.8 YPC 345 ATT
Eric Dickerson 1984 - 5.6 YPC 379 ATT

That’s all the noteworthy guys yards per carry & attempts in the 2000K club.

Sanders still is the best running back to ever live for my money.
Barry remains the GOAT. I support this list.

So uh. The Colts are a mess. Is there anyone who wouldn't jump at the chance to kick Moore to the curb to facilitate a reunion?

Curious if Moore will get some HC consideration this offseason. That would make the decision for them, although I dont think it should really be debatable either way.

I couldn't, in good conscience, replace anyone on staff if we win a Super Bowl, unless they got hired for a better job.

That said, fall anywhere short of that, and I'd welcome Steichen back.

Indy like SF either paying the price or underestimating the amount of patience they needed for their one and done ncaa QB.
Either they didn’t do as good a job on their evaluation of Lance and Richardson’s maturity and all of the qualities off the field to be an nfl QB or they just need to be more patient as they go through the bumps of development.
Personally, not a fan of drafting such inexperienced College QBs, especially high since you are under pressure to play them but clearly aren’t ready for it.

For Barkley, too bad Phi isn’t able to play for a bye otherwise they’d play everyone to get that bye week so that he could break the record.

How do we feel now that we know that Saquon and the rest of the team wanted to go for it and told the coach that, and he made the decision not to?

Makes it worse imo. Now you made the dude disgruntled that you're going to rely on to take you to a Superbowl.

Of course every single person on the team is going to say that. It's the job of the coach to do what's best for team and for once Nick nailed it. Nobody's disgruntled.

Could not give a single, solitary shit. The coach’s job is to prioritize the right things. If he caved to that, it’s a fireable offense to me. Completely understand the players wanting to try. But also trust them to put it behind them when the time comes. That’s the gig.

Nor is any RB taking you to a Super Bowl in 2024.
