There’s like no underclassman in this draft either at the QB position. Allar, Klubnik, & Nussmeier all returned to school essentially killing your potential depth. These guys probably would have been in your intriguing flyer type day 2 pick range.

Now you for sure drop to Beck & Dart as your QB 3-4 range. I don’t know what Ewers does but that’s another guy whose arrow isn’t pointing up right now. He’s probably not at Texas next year one way or another which kind of alludes to that.

But then again this might be the normal going forward in today’s play for pay era of college football. The schools can probably mitigate the financial aspect some when you’re talking late first round-day 2 range & you’re a QB that clearly needs more seasoning at the college level.

Any Eagles fan upset over them resting some starters is not a serious person.

Saquon has had 378(!) touches this season. He has a history of missing a couple of weeks with a strain or sprain here and there. They had their bye week in Week 5! They've played every single week for 3 months in a row now.

Let them rest up for the playoffs. Winning in the playoffs is an extremely difficult task in any case. Why would you throw away an edge like a "soft bye" to have your star players fresh(er) for the stretch run?

Nobody would remember Eric Dickerson if he was just another 2000 yard rusher and not the guy that held the record. I'd bet 90% of NFL fans couldn't name all of the 8 other guys that are in the 2k club. Is it exclusive and awesome? Yea. But breaking a 40 year old record is legendary. Nobody in that class has ever come close to repeating it. This is the best he's ever going to be most likely. This is the only shot he will ever have most likely.

AND Hurts is still in concussion protocol. Going for the Superbowl and getting the rushing record are independently exclusive to one another. It's not an and or. And this is going to leave a brutal taste in everybody's mouth if next week they are bounced by the Commanders because a Kenny Pickett led offense can't cut it in the playoffs. They could be going into the playoffs on a huge high, with the fans going nuts giving the biggest middle finger ever to the Giants carrying all the momentum in the world. Instead we see a slop fest Sunday, and pray our QB is good to go next week and hope that not playing doesn't kill all the momentum.

It's still an incredible season from Barkley. As an Eagle, that record could last another 40 years or longer. What's the playoff rushing record? Let's worry about getting him the Superbowl MVP at this point.
