If Luchanko goes, it is most likely going to include a high ceiling ‘07 or a decent ‘08. Kingston would need to move Hopkins. No doubt about it. And, I don’t think that is a good move for Kingston.
Luchanko is probably most needed by Brampton but they don’t have an ‘08. I don’t think Witkowski + Dragusica can get that done. Barrie doesn’t need him. London could use him but Hawery isn’t moving. Moore didn’t report, Medvedev isn’t moving. Arrowsmith isn’t going to move the needle. Oshawa won’t have the assets. Brantford makes sense if they feel he is a two year player. O’Donnell would be the main piece. Although, I think if any of the rumours with Malhotra are to be believed, the rights to Malhotra may move that needle quite a bit. Malhotra ending up in Guelph makes a lot of sense. So, Brantford is my main destination if they can work out the MAlhotra issue.
Luchanko isn’t as impactful as Pinelli at the OHL level RIGHT NOW. Luchanko is by far the better pro prospect. Luchanko is that prototypical 2nd line centre on the Championship calibre team. But, you gotta score goals in the playoffs and Pinelli can do that. Luchanko will help keep them out of your net.
There has been no talk of a Luchanko deal out there. I am not 100% sold he will be moved. We know Pinelli has had rumours including to Barrie in a deal for Vaughn (Vaughn currently not waiving his NTC). Vaughn is the biggest trade piece out there so if a deal involving Pinelli is there for Vaughn, that alone suggests Pinelli is the main forward being sought after.
Luchanko is a lot more impactful than Pinelli right now imo, better overall game than Musty I think.
Depends on the team of course but Pinelli can score goals. So if you are looking for a sniper, he’s your guy. If you need a two way 2nd line centre, Luciano is your guy. Of course, he could be 1C but if he is you netter have a hell of a good scoring 2nd line.
Yeah Luchanko, Musty, and Pinelli could all be the best player to add for different teams.
Of the three, I think Luchanko is the most versatile and determined; and has the most to offer a high scoring but defensively challenged team both offensively and defensively.
I’d probably want Pinelli for Kingston and Musty for Erie; and depending on line-mates, I can see either as best for Barrie.
It really is tough to say. IMO, Luchanko is Brantford all the way. They want/need two year players where possible. I cannot see Luchanko in the NHL next year but the Flyers are pretty brutal so…
Musty is staying in Sudbury I think. I think this latest injury has cemented that.
Pinelli is looking like Barrie (if they can get the Vaughn NTC cleared) or Kitchener. Both deals look good. An ‘08 plus picks. Probably two players going out though. Looks like Mayich or Dever. I am not sure Mayich is a good fit for Kitchener with their OA situation but Dever might be a good fit.
OA deadline is Jan 9th, rest of league is Jan 10thWhat is the deadline for OA.
Could be that they want to give MacK one last weekend before they release him.
Is Pinelli in the line up?
Well at least it is Flint and not a powerhouse team LOLNO Pinelli only 16 skaters
Kenny Walls says both are injured so likely not trade related??No Dever, Stonehouse, Horner this evening
Wondering if any is trade related
Horner is an injury I know that
The first part of your statement makes me wonder about the veracity of the second part.Don't believe everything your told i guarantee both players being out tonight are trade related.

I agree but I also look at what @OMG67 is saying. We need to get rid of a few players and anyone that is not interested in coming back next year or not sure should be gone now.Tough game tonight, outshot 47-10. It can’t be easy to be shorthanded in Flint and hearing about a bunch of your teammates being mentioned in trade rumours.
Keep in mind that the 67’s haven’t had a true sell off of three or more seller deadline deals in at least the last 10 years.
In the 2015-16 season, the Travis Konecny/Sam Studnicka for Sasha Chmelevski and 8 pick deal was huge. Even in that season, they elected to hang out to Dante Salituro and Jake Middleton as 19 year olds only to have them both surprising go pro the next year. Salituro wound up coming back and he returned a paltry 2nd and 3rd after asking to only be dealt to London. The next year they also dealt Drake Rymsha.
It’s not in the franchise’s DNA to have sell offs but given the seller’s market, this is the year to do it.
It’s going to be a wildly interesting next week but if done correctly, it could set the franchise up for an awesome 3-5 year run.
