TIL the Eagles then-owner came up with the idea of a draft for parity because he was pissed he couldn't get any of these college players to sign. They all went to the , powerhouse Bears, etc. Those teams recognized the importance of parity and signed on for the good of the league.

I'm of the opinion this is not the year to be trading up in the first. Id love to drop to the 40s and pick up another 3rd. Imo this draft has lots of second round talent deep into the 3rd.

I'm finally starting to get to some draft work. My live viewings were wrong. You were right about Landon Jackson. That has all the makings of a solid player for a long time, which is fine in this draft.

I had no recollection whatsoever of him playing mostly 4i. It all makes so much more sense.

Love that dudes RAS. He also competes.

I'm bummed i see Ezeiruaku as a top 30 visit. I think he's not going to have success in the pros at his size, at least as a 4-3 DE.

Unless there is a QB you want at the end of rd 1, where getting the 5th year helps especially if you are redshirting him in year 1 and even year 2 like a Milroe from Alabama who need work, that makes sense to buy you the extra year as a starter to evaluate the kid.
All other positions, it is not about the 5th year so much as it is about jumping teams ahead of you to ensure you get the guy you want.
