It's not like people didn't think that could happen. I didn't think it would, but once shit turned sideways for Carter, and Drew Rosenhaus does things like refusing to allow him to take visits outside of the top 10, there was always things going on.

Todd McShay once spent an entire year telling us Drew Lock was the most pro-ready QB in the draft, and dude is sitting behind Geno Smith in his D+5 year.

Never said he wasn't a scouting dope, but these guys have connections. He was pretty confident it wouldn't happen.
