@Beef Invictus Did you read this Snyder story on ESPN yet?

This just about killed me.

They then started looking closely into the team's finances and found Snyder was using the team as his "personal piggy bank," including charging the team $4.5 million to put its logo on his private jet

I've been saying for years that it's impossible that he wasn't doing this kind of thing. I've been praying for any reason for anyone to stare at the finances.

This is a guy who once bribed a federal agency. He should have been locked up then and there

Gardner-Johnson came for Gannon's THROAT

The players need to take alot of responsibility though but remember what Schwartz told Doug. He said we are either going to get a turnover or let them score quick so you'll get the ball back. This time they did one thing they couldn't, allow the other team to just hold onto the ball. It's over, ideally Desai faces a tad bit better against quarterbacks with above average talent.

I've been thinking about what they actually did in the Super Bowl. I hate to bring them up in threads where it isn't necessary, but everything about the defense that day showed a Flyers brand of arrogance.

They just did what they do. Mahomes went to the MOF an absurd percentage of the time and that was that. The approach to the game was Edwards/Maddox/Epps can handle Travis bleeping Kelce. That was the plan! Save me the narratives about the field. That game was lost at two key points.

One is when they were doing the gameplan. They assumed they were good enough to stop 2 week Reid/Mahomes on talent alone. But the one that really drives me nuts is whenever Gannon decided he wasn't going to try a ton of different things in the regular season. Yes, these Belichick-style variations exist so that the coaches have ideas of what their guys can and can't do in advance, but they also serve to let the players get reps and get comfortable. They failed that day because they failed all regular season to prep for it.

I wanted things to get spicy at the top but not like this.

Maybe not as spicy but still timing.

I think there's a strong possibility further charges could come in the future when you read about the actual events. Possibility of leaving the scene of an accident which can be applied to participating cars in a street race even if they are not the car that caused the accident. Also false statements since he lied to police repeatedly.

The only thing probably keeping him from a manslaughter charge is because the vehicle that crashed was also drag racing and the people who died were also participants of the drag race. Unless there is footage showing his vehicle making contract with the other vehicle and causing them to crash.

Now if they were drag racing and the vehicle that crashed killed a bystander in addition to those inside he'd certainly be in line for a manslaughter charge as being a participant in the street race.

Perfect. Let him fall to us now.

Definitely didn't handle business how we could've potentially. I'm all for playing your game as you play it, but it was clear in that SB more needed to be done and mix it up. Unfortunately, not playing a very good QB other than Rodgers in the reg season probably did hurt us in the SB in that way.

Sigh.

Its very spicy IMO.
Carter already was rumored to have character issues.

This draft class is too weak at the top IMO for him to fall all that far but Howie might have a decision on his hand at #10 now. And I am not sure I would want to make that decision...

By the way, if you see a prop bet about the Cowboys taking Bijan Robinson, before you bet on it go have a look at how many UT players Dallas has ever drafted. Almost none.

More or less, I agree, the defense played basically the same all year, and didn't have a plan if "what they do" wasn't working. Worked a lot during the year because the offense was stomping lesser talent.

I really don't have issues with the Kelce "game plan", because 31 teams try to stop him and don't.

Cheifs had barely any 3rd and longs, and my issue was physically losing the trench battle and letting the two RBs have a great day.

I'm nervous for this draft. I'm sure I'm off base to some magnitude but I feel like it's so crucial to the size of their championship window

I wouldn't bet on that anyway when they have 2 guys they like right now at RB. Just a cherry on top.

The timing of this kind of stuff is always baffling.

Meh, I'm not even going to pretend to defend Carter here, but the timing is certainly not odd given the ACCPD's involvement. You won't find a bigger collection of ego maniacs than that department, and the timing certainly screams "get the department's name into the national headlines." Seriously, the evidence used to issue the warrant was pulled from city watch cameras, of which, they had access to the night of the incident. Why would you wait two months and finally announce the charges on day 1 of the combine?

Just a terrible incident all around. I'm not sure how punitive damages would work in this situation, but I would bet someone besides the insurance company is going to pay up big time in the near future. The driver of the vehicle that crashed was drunk (3X the legal limit), a recruiting staffer, and in a vehicle rented by the university's athletic department whose policy only allowed for work related usage. Not sure drag racing to waffle house at 2 AM qualifies.

I've actually driven down the same road a handful of times. It's almost good fortune that the vehicle hit a pole and had to essentially drop 12 feet out of the air down an embankment, or the truck would have likely gone right through the front of a housing complex, likely hurting or killing many more people.

Is there a draft target who wore #0 or something?
Put some respect on Darnell Washington's name..
