I hate all of this as much as you do, but for me the thing about Peacock is that l already have it, for the Premiere League. With Amazon and ESPN+ there are other reasons to have them, too. If we can somehow limit the number of various places they can plant this shit, it may be OK.

What pisses me off is having the Champions League on f***ing CBS+/Paramount+/whatever the f*** it's called. That's the thing that kills me. It all sucks, but these leagues have to be smarter to make it all doable. It's better off than MLS, but the EPL shouldn't act like the job is done in recruiting new viewers, and putting shit on these outlets doesn't help that at all - it's just mingebags trying to grab every scruffy dollar they can with no long-term vision. Hopefully ESPN+ gets the Champions League next time - they'll probably suck ass and ruin it, like with horrible American PBP, but at least we'd have other reasons to spend on ESPN+.
You should be watching Serie A on Paramount+ so you should have it anyway. ;)

All of this sports platform diaspora would seem to me to be alienating older viewers who are probably less likely to "high-tech" their way into watching what used to be freely available on network TV or their incumbent basic cable packages. It's been a long time since I was a member of the younger generation, but my impression is that sports is most likely taking up a lower percentage of attention real estate in younger people (overall) as in previous younger generations - and make no mistake, these streaming service re-routes are aimed squarely at the neck beard sports fans. The number of options, distractions, and the realities of an ever-changing world (of which the younger generation is more apt to be adaptable) makes me think the marketing "geniuses" in the Big Sports leagues think they are spreading visibility when, in effect, it feels more like they are diluting it. I do not think we are far off from 16 NFL games on 16 different services every week.

My two bitcoins.

I hate streaming, b/c you can't DVR them so you have to sit through the f---g commercials and put your life on hold to watch a game.
Which is why I generally skip those games unless I'm working on the computer and can put the stream on the 2nd screen.

This depends on the platform - the good ones allow you to join mid-way, start from the beginning, and fast forward (ESPN+ and Apple/MLS are the two that come to mind) but yes the bad ones (Peacock, Paramount+, etc...) are awful with that. The same applies to replays as well.

Again, I look forward to illegally streaming all of this content.

I can't see that happening at all. In fact I think there was legislation that almost passed to put a mandatory 10% maximum cap of 'public money' awarded to construction of venues. Now that I believe was state money and a local city/county with it's own budget could likely do whatever they want... but I just don't see say Fairfax County giving close to $1 billion for a Commanders stadium.

I am going to have to go undercover to figure that one out.

How about this one? He was in an ownership group with Michael Rubin.

Checkmate.

Snyder made his wealth running an empire of robo-scam-calls and is under multiple criminal investigations, some of them for stealing from fans. He once sued an old widow when she could no longer make season ticket payments.

This shit has to stop. It's just annoying at this point.
the more difficult and expensive it will get to watch the games, the more guys will try to look it in other ways!

Its like with the music industry. They finally understand it and stay with things like spotify. Same with Hollywood and Amazon and Netflix!

The NFL will understand it one day as well. But its too early!

All of the streaming services will come together one day and create a product called cable.

5G is accelerating that process. While it's grossly overhyped for phones (really, do you need to download video to your phone?) it has tremendous potential for solving the "last mile" issue for high speed internet - you can lay fiber optics on poles (inexpensive) and connect to home networks through 5G. This will allow easy entry and increase competition between phone and cable companies.

Is this your form of irony? Sometimes my english is so bad i dont understand your point this time.

I think you will get something like Spotify for the NFL or maybe for all american pro leagues. Cause a lot of people want to have all eagles games but no other nfl game. And every sixers game.but no other NBA game. It will give some way.to get this things. Because all will earn more than it is now.
