Indy's draft is bananas.

I don't see him like Sanders at all. Miles thought he was Barry, constantly trying to improvise. Hit the hole behind this line my man. IMO, this is Swift. It's about fitting a role. We have change of pace in Scott/Gainwell. I don't give two bleeps about his stats, he's going to be hard to deal with in 4th quarters.

Just is never healthy....
Swift has the same problem. Duce Staley was grilling him on Hard Knocks.

I think it's a fine trade for both teams.

So we traded two priority UDFAs (i.e. late 7th rd is a head start) for one guy who probably wouldn't make it to free agency.

They must have seen a half dozen guys drop to where they think they can snap two of them at #188 and #191.

You're awfully critical of a competent franchises moves, but worship the incompetence of the flyers, can you make this make sense?

That's not a criticism, that's just a guess at reasoning, there's a group they think will be available at #191, #188 but not past 200+, so Howie gave up a couple priority UDFAs to snag one of them.

Or maybe Howie was just bored because he didn't make any moves in the last hour.

There is also a decent chance that they just simply don't want to pick 9 players in this draft because we don't have that many open roster spaces left anyways. So he is moving up to get a higher valued player instead.

Will be interesting to see if we are again among the highest spenders in UDFA or if they don't do as much after picking 8 players and having an already somewhat stacked roster.

Howie fills out the roster before the draft, then goes hunting for upgrades.
So he'd be more interested in a 6th rd pick with a better shot at beating out some of the SFAs and PS guys on the 90 man roster than one more UDFA.
