Other Sports: Philadelphia 76ers, 2024-25: Countdown to April

Anyone watching the game on ABC? It is like they have the court and crowd volume set to a billion and the announcers set to 10. Can barely hear them over the sneaker squeaks.

I'm not watching because it is some guys last game and he is like 90 or something, but they appear to be doing various tributes to him throughout the game and you can't hear any of them. It is just like a soft mumble under the sounds of every crowd noise.

Just turned it on to confirm, and I'm can confirm. The crowd behind the basket whole embiid was shooting his FT's sounds like they were sitting behind me on the couch

Yeah, ESPN always seem to have the sound levels weird. Hubie Brown is legit a basketball legend. Glad ESPN is giving him this send off.

I would be surprised, the injury situation will probably give him the benefit of the doubt... for now. But I really don't know what the plan is. Embiid had a decent game last night but doesn't seem to fit in the offensive scheme, if there actually is an offensive scheme. It's just ugly and hard to watch.
 
Who cares..this team and franchise is spinning their wheels worse than the Flyers. Didn't think that possible but the team with Embiid is so predictably slow. I am not sure how that will change barring the second coming of Jesus healing his knee...

IDK if I want them to continue to bottom out and keep their pick or continue to toil around where they are now and not for the lulz and cause **** them.

Everything about the franchise right now, other than Maxey, is unlikeable.

They're not going to tank. The trade deadline is gone and they're not going to tell the team to just mail it in (even if it seems like that's what they're already doing). If Embiid really is going to need another surgery then do it now. Maybe make the playoffs, maybe not. See what you have with the young players (Grimes, Butler, Bona, Edwards)... see if you can figure out how to use PG... and hope Embiid comes back as something resembling his previous self. Oh, and at some point decide if Nurse is the right coach for this team, whatever this team ends up being.
