I’ve been thinking about this for 2 hours, and it finally hit me why Dallas made this trade……Dallas really really likes the depth of the late 1st round of the 2029 class. Supposedly the deepest class in decades.

But the main reason I don't think the Lakers won this trade is because they just don't know Luka. You need intimate knowledge of what makes a guy tick.
