It pretty much now all rests on Vasy's shoulders how we'll do in the post season. I like our forward and defense groups against pretty much anyone. Will we get the Conn Smythe Vasy or the Toronto series Vasy? He's been trending towards the former for most of the season.

so as it sits, we have 819k in deadline cap if we dont make anymore moves, shipping out Sheary would give us 1.669m in deadline cap, adding Perbix to that makes it 2.794m in deadline cap to add a depth dman and 1 more bottom 6 guy unless we expect Howard/Geekie to be on the 3rd line

Sheary would give them 850k because that's what he's costing them cap wise by being buried. Atkinson currently wouldn't since he's in Syracuse and not costing anything against the cap. Perbix+Sheary though would give them just over 2.7 available with a then 20 player roster.

The amount of Cap Relief that a team gets from assigning a player to the AHL is the lesser of their Cap Hit and the NHL Minimum Salary + $375,000 (Buried Threshold). Therefore, if a player with a Cap Hit less than the Buried Threshold is sent down, their full Cap Hit no longer counts on the Team's total cap hit. If a player has a Cap Hit greater than the Buried Threshold, if they are sent to AHL the team's Cap Hit is the player Cap Hit - Buried Threshold. The Buried Threshold is as follows:

2024-25: $775,000 + $375,000 = $1,150,000

2025-26: $775,000 + $375,000 = $1,150,000

so because hes under the 1.150m threshold he doesn't doesnt have a "Buried" cap hit, therefore doesnt count against the cap
