Sanheim had one of those shifts where no one was allowed to touch the puck but him...

when it is ok to get excited about Marody? is he on a line with conner and that is why he is doing so well?

He's centering Brendan Warren & Tony Calderone on the third line there. Warren's a third round pick by Arizona this past draft who's playing well but so is Marody in his own right.

Michigan's loaded though so the pressure of being the guys isn't really on them right now. Next year will probably be more telling as I'd imagine some guys at the top will turn pro leaving them to move up the pecking order & take on more responsibility.

Early season obviously, but Straka is tied for 8th in the AHL in goals. Only able to see highlights so far, but looks to be doing pretty well. I am glad. Seems to be on the PP and PK (from the SH goal he scored). Nice pass for his assist in the last game, and his SH goal was a snipe. I always liked him but he has struggled in the AHL. Hoping this is his breakout year.

Wasn't Straka the one that came up last year for like 2 games and played pretty well?

I was excited when we drafted him. Raw talent with a ton of speed going to a great NCAA program? Definitely have some NHL hopes for him. Another potential late round NHLer like Fazleev and Lindblom

Should have had the hattrick yesterday. Martel put one on a tee for him on a 2-on-1. He's had a good start though. Not sure he's an NHL player, but the Phatoms need all the help they can get up front.

Martel seems to have the X-factor. It's about time the Flyers found an offensive spark plug as a late pick or undrafted free agent. The defense is the main problem, but some speed and creativity up front would really help.

Really awesome to see such great starts from Leier and Martel. These secondary prospects could be pretty important for us down the road

Leier looks like he's really taken a step forward in his second pro year. He's doing everything well and always noticeable. And yeah, Martel is a real playmaker out there so far.

Had a good hunch about Martel. Good combo of speed and spark. So far so good. The Q scouts are earning their money between the Martel and Myers signings.

We are greedy....we do have Read and Raffl who were free. But getting a really high end offensive guy would be nice.

Mind you, getting a top 3 scorer at #24 in a draft is pretty good. It's crazy how well we have drafted in the 1st round over the years compared to others.

And the late round drafting is starting to pick up as well with guys like Lindblom, Marody, and Fazleev

Straka has NHL talent, the question has always been whether he'd pay the price to become a complete forward or just skate and shoot and let his linemates do all the dirty work.
