My 1.5 year old take.

I have seen Lacyznski a lot, and I will swear by his skill level. Which regularly would shock me if I hadn't seen him umpteen times. He makes passes -- rolling off hits -- that are as good as anyone here not named Frost/Brink. Truly impressive vision out of a power forward, like primary puck control playmaking ability, not just touch plays.

His shot is very underrated too, and he was at times of the leaders in shots/game in the NCAA. For years, he's been put in the position where he has to carry less talented linemates -- how much more would his scoring improve with guys who give HIM the puck? I think he'll be a big play driver on the cycle. I think Laczynski has sneaky 40-50 point well rounded upside. Not sure he'll get the usage for it, but it's in there.

Tanner was never slow in stride, but just from clips he absolutely looks faster than in college, as stated by others. His problem was more first steps and just moving his feet. Conditioning? His raw goal scoring never quite showed it, and he's best as a passer, but I was always bullish on the future goal scoring. His wrist shot is super accurate. I admit I figured he was just a projectable RW though, not having played center since his USHL days. If all those Ohio State games were in vain, that's existential crisis territory. So, that's nice.

Wisdom is pretty tough for a 18 year old playing against men.
Guess he wanted to send a message about intimidation.

He's what I think about as a "Flyers player," not so much dirty (talkin' to you NAK) but just tough, willing to give it and ain't afraid to take it.

Tanner reminds me of David Krecji. And Wisdom is a mean MF. He had enough of Graham Clark's hacking and whacking. 5 minute major and 10 minute misconduct and thrown out of the game. But it really sparked the Phantoms. Killed it off plus Tanner's shorty was the game winner. As I said before Simmonds redux.

Tanner hattrick: ES, SH, PP.

Phantoms are more fun to watch.

BTW....my Wells Fargo broker emailed me back. Said he wanted to talk with me on Monday. I responded....... Monday is a bad day and I might be in a bad mood......

Tough to tell from that viewpoint. I would guess no one would be stupid enough to do that & it was rather the midsection but who knows.

I’d imagine you’ll probably hear/see something about this one way or another with supplemental discipline.

The refs gave Wisdom a 2, 5, & 10 for instigating, fighting, & misconduct on that play. Clarke got a 2 for roughing. Fwiw.

This seems to be one thing the Flyer scouts seem to be good at, identifying players who have the potential to improve their skating.

Of course, there is Strome, he has improved, but has such a long way to go.

saw this about Destroyer and figured I would share just in case anyone cared...athlete AND a scholar.

"(3rd in league points, 1st among non-overagers) Most of his points come without the help of special teams. Has 10 special team points...everyone in the top 10 of scoring has more.

At the time of this post he is 2nd place in the league among most faceoff wins in the league.

Elliot has also been nominated for the CIBC Marcel Robert Trophy, a league award given to the player who best combines on-ice performance with academic success, he is current excelling at Saint Mary's University in Halifax."

Dont make a rash financial decision over the Flyers.

I consult with him but I do all the picks. I have a better average than the Flyers draft picks. As Baruch said: buy low, sell high. I follow his dictum.

When the ECHL comes back Strome will be on the Reading roster. Probably Laberge too. But if the OHL starts up they will lose Millman,, Foerster, and Wisdom. I know that everyone wants them back on their junior team except me. They make it exciting to watch. As I said before, each line change with these guys is an exceptional learning experience. Sometimes good, sometimes really bad.

But Tanner is the real deal. O and D......

I like the rookie D better than the vets except Witherspoon. I have no idea why Bigras got drafted so high or Pouliot [sp?]. But who am I to judge......I ain't playing ice hockey for a salary.

Oh Look! The Twitter folk have noticed Laczynski is good because the points are now coming in bunches.

Laczynski is good even when he doesn’t score. He good all the time. It is known.
Even on here most people can’t evaluate players past looking at raw scoring.

But it makes sense that as soon as Laczynski starts to score he starts getting compared to our elite sniper Laughton. Hopefully he can live up to such a lofty comparison.
