Real talk : I think we're due for a pro wrestling crash. Like, seriously. At this point I think it would be beneficial for the business as a whole if WWE went under and we were left with no MAJOR wrestling promotion for a couple of years... 5, maybe 10, as long as it takes

Wrestling has to disapear for a while and comeback stronger later

Last year, we had Sting debut and Dolph surviving team Cena.

This year, a predictable(although I enjoyed it) Taker match and Lobsterhead new champ.

I hope the Rumble is decent and get a few surprises.

FFS but i already posted in the raw thread

Here's how it should have went down

-Owens eggs on roman about being "so close" like he did already
-Reigns vs Ambrose happens and ambrose keeps kicking out and reigns gets reminded how he's again "so close".
Reigns hits the spear but ambrose kicks out, out of anger reigns goes for it again and walks into dirty deeds and ambrose wins the belt

-Post match it looks like reigns is congratulating ambrose but then does the same thing he did to Triple H.

-Que sheamus running in and brogue kicking reigns out of the ring and then cashing in his MITB and brogue kicking ambrose to win the belt.

Authority champ, Heel reigns (and properly gets booed) and an ambrose win that won't be there by tomorrow. What else could you ask for?

Real talk...pro wrestling (at least WWE) has been in crash mode since DB went down and lost his title after WM30. All they've done is poor decision after poor decision after that with the exception of Brock winning the title. Cena winning the title was a joke. Rollins winning the title off of Reigns in a triple threat was a joke. This tournament ending the way it did was a joke and the cash in here was a joke too.

Trips taking shots at the internet community for them thinking they could do it better in so many words was a joke after tonight's ending. People ***** about that stuff because it's not entertaining what you're doing with these bookings and the numbers at the shows and on TV reflect that. If they had a WWE Network during the Attitude or Ruthless Aggression era, it would be shown in the subscription numbers too.

It's a damn shame how low this product has sunk since the high of DB's win at WM30.

and with those of us still watching it on Monday, I know there is a considerable number who technically have it on but have it on in the background.

That's how I've been "watching" Raw for the past 3-5 months or so.

Disagree. Look at NXT. It's a huge success because it caters to the right demographic and focuses on the niche rather than attempting to be mainstream. WWE tries catering to all the demographics under the sun and tries to be mainstream so bad when it really should be focusing on its niche audience. It's a huge niche, too. Cater to them and the product will be ****ing good. See: NXT.

What else could I ask for? Anything that doesn't end with a face Reigns being champ, or Sheamus being champ. This seriously smells like horse **** and has completely turned me off of the product.

Not only do we get a Survivor Series where the middle of it felt like another throwaway Raw, but we get a Main Event scene that's complete garbage.

I guess that's also part of it

but then again, look at the crowds from prime WWF and prime WCW, the hype wasn't all about demographics, people legitimately loved big budget wrestling... I don't feel like it's the case anymore, I really feel like nothing can save this show at this point, i've never felt that way even in the darkest years

Just remember, mid-90s had King Mabel as top level heel. 1995 King of the Ring had both Undertaker AND Shawn Michaels in the tournament, and MABEL won it.

Also Diesel was champ.

I think that's actually better than right now.

that was the niche crowd, man... wrestling is such a huge niche and they've lost sight of it after all these years of desperately trying to be accepted by every demographic and by mainstream media and coverage. They've lost the most hardcore fans after this ******, declining product for the past 12 years or so.

I can't think of much that was redeemable about that show besides New Day

- All the matches seemed like everyone just going through the motions
- Old men part timers go over young upcoming talent again, and vince wonders where his new era of main eventers are
- Reigns/Ambrose was tragically anti-climatic with no storyline progression
- Regins gets no reaction, but not to worry here comes Sheamus -_-

They should of just let KO win.

No. We don't need him eating pins to Reigns down the road. Would rather he just keep doing what he's doing with the IC Title. Whenever Zayn returns, that feud will be too good to pass up.

Here's how the Main Event should have gone down:

Have Ambrose be jumped in the back before the match, completely laid out. Either by KO, or by a mystery person. Have Reigns in the ring watching the after math on the big screen. They have paramedics tending to Ambrose in the back, but he gets up and makes his way to the ring, stumbling. Reigns then absolutely dominates Ambrose, but he keeps kicking out. Reigns gets frustrated and continues powerbomb after powerbomb, superman punch after superman punch. Absolutely destroys Ambrose, but he keeps kicking out.

Reigns keeps yelling at Ambrose to stay down, that it isn't worth it, and continues to punish him. Then Ambrose punches him in the face and tries to muster up some offense. Hits Dirty Deeds out of nowhere. HHH runs down to the ring and knocks out the ref, jumps in and hits Ambrose with a pedigree. HHH and Reigns shake hands over the fallen, knocked out Ambrose. The referee gets back up and HHH orders him to count to 3. Reigns wins the championship and is aligned with The Authority.

Bam. You build up the Ambrose character as a guy who will do whatever it takes to win, but gets screwed in the end. You get Reigns over as a hot heel. And you set up another program between Ambrose and either Owens or whomever it was that attacked him backstage.

This. But then again WWE messed up what could have been a great move/rivalry with a heel Roman or Ambrose....... what if they mess up Zayn/KO
