I was on the Blues board and they caught something I didnt, When carter cross-checks the net halaks foot gets pushed forward allowing richards to score! Nice.

I dunno, his whole torso moves forward, including his other leg. Looks like he was moving himself forward. He also wasn't firmly against the post to begin with. I'd be surprised if Carter's little push there caused Halak's whole lower body to move there. Just looked like he was repositioning himself for the rebound.

I just realized that Carter goes into the net like that because he's thrown off balance when he adjusts to McDonald sliding in front of him. I think Carter uses the net to stay upright.

Glad for the win. That's what their fans get for trying to jinx us in the GDT. I jinxed them back on their thread so HA!

I assure you that was not a jinx. Watching the Blues over the course of this season (in particular as of late) the only reason the score was not more ridiculous was the Kings deciding to play non-physical for too much of the game. A more typically physical game by your forwards and there would have been at least another three tallies on the scoreboard.
This game was decided before the Kings' flight landed.

I wonder what Blues' fans' excuse will be today.

The Blues suck?
They overachieved last year and seem to want to underachieve this year to balance that out?
The lack of cash means they are never going to be able to get that final piece like the Kings did and as such will never sniff a Stanley Cup?

You're wrong, McDonald being out was the only reason the Kings took 3 out of 4 from the Blues last season. It would have been proven in the playoffs but the Kings sent their goon to take out Petro (aka the best d-man in the league) in game 1.

I was there last night and the building had no energy in it whatsoever. I was like they all knew going in what the final result would be. When Richie scored there was a giant "I knew that was gonna happen" feel to it. There was about a half dozen Kings fans besides me in there cheering. Really quiet. The Kings are in the heads of the entire community
