That’s without mentioning the fact Bobby Orr was hurt and couldn’t play. Imagine if everyone was healthy and allowed to go, we would have throttled the USSR.

That’s counterbalanced by Bobby Clarke administering a 2-handed slash to superstar Valeri Kharkamov, breaking an ankle in game 6. Canada went on to win games 6-7-8. Kharlamov was among the greatest of his era, Bobby Hull called him the best winger in the world.

And what do we have here ? The Americans are all offended because fans are booing because their El Presidente Dumpster wants to take over Canada. So they decide to start a bunch of fights, bullies like El Presidente Dumpster. They win. American social media / media delights and mocks us. We beat them and rejoice in beating the bully.

Luckily, not all Americans think this way. I’ve seen many videos of Americans who stand with us and think that Trumps actions are appalling. There are of course, always uneducated idiots who think Canada should want to join the States. Those ones also don’t understand that we’re booing Trump and Maga, not the US itself. Personally, I’ve always thought they should get rid of national anthems in league sports as they serve no purpose. Obviously, in this case it was international play.

May I ask? Do people in Québec whose first language is French feel French or Canadian (majority, of course)? We can't compare your situation with Brazil (Portuguese) or Argentina and Mexico (Spanish). Majority of you are descended from the French, which cannot be said of Argentines, Mexicans and Brazilians. Because in Mexico the majority of the population is mestizo, in Brazil and Argentina real Portuguese/Spanish are also hard to find.The referendums on Quebec independence were not called for nothing.

I repeat, it is only a question, because I do not know what the situation is in Québec.

Where are you from?

This is an interesting political question, with many different view points. Mods may move it though. But I'm sure you'll find places on the internet.

I would say in my experience, a certain percentage (don't know what it is) feel Quebecois, and therefore neither French from France, nor Canadian. A certain percentage feel Canadian. Don't know the percentages. It's been a little while since I lived in Montreal.Don't know any that feel French from France.

I first and foremost call myself a human. I'm French, I'm Canadian, but I'm also partly Irish, partly Jewish, with an ounce of first nation blood. There's been a lot of mixing.

A great percentage of Americans have French descendance in their family tree.
