Dude, the 4th line will be sitting in the middle of the bench the whole game. Let’s be real. They could dress cut out posters.
If these are indeed the final moves, I could see 11/7 a lot of nights to keep Guo in.

Only thing I can see at this point is Morrison and Grushnikov. Maybe Ottawa can dig up another winger that can play top 9 minutes with pace. They’d need to win games in the playoffs with pace and depth and strong coaching/systems and discipline. Honestly, they’d need to execute perfect hockey and stay healthy to have a chance.

McCallum would fit nicely into the Ottawa roster. Does it all really. Playoff guy. Would do Barlas for him.

Yeah. If Boyd does a deal like that it would be picks. Clearly he’s not into players.
At least Beck helps in that regard. A core with him, Lockhart?, Purdeller, Melee, McCoy, Smith, Guo, another OA and Simpson is probably enough to keep the team watchable til Christmas next year, then Beck (and a couple of those others) can be moved to refill the cupboards.
Because it's Beck and not one of the 03s, it should be a little less painful.

I was accurate about Panwar being upgraded as he should have been. You can’t have an OA ont he 4th line. That’s just silly. You really shouldn’t have a 19 years old on the 4th line of a Championship team.
You didn’t manage to keep JVV but you used him in a deal that will return serious assets next year in Beck. Great deal. I would not have dealt him in a half season rental. It is great you didn’t need to do that.
Overall, great deadline. You added an OA and upgraded another and by doing so you managed to fill a hole you had on the back end. Nothing wrong with that. As mentioned, a much better use of assets for sue.
