Ugh, well McNabb is a huge homer so I'm not surprised. Not as bad as the idiots calling Pens games, but he's up there with his one sided, rah-rah cheerleader commentary in heavily in favor of the home team.

They had a record sellout streak for a while. Ended around 2006. Right around the time their playoff streak ended, too. The Avs have a decent draw when they're relevant, but ticket prices haven't reflected the decline in on-ice product. Add in disinterested ownership and extremely questionable management, and the fans won't necessarily stick around. I sure didn't.

The Avs might have had the biggest performance drop from last season to this season in the whole league. It's exactly the kind of on-ice situation that makes people tune out.

I watched the Rangers broadcast last night, so I missed that. But something to note is that the pxp man, Mike Haynes, grew up a Rangers fan in New York, so that may have just been a dig towards him. They are usually pretty bland and as innocuous as possible as a commentator duo. That's like the edgiest thing Peter McNabb has ever said on the air.
