He's gotta be in his own head at this point right?

Maybe or maybe not

He does play a riskier game than say Kuhlman

Tries to "thread the needle" passes that could result in problems. Last night on two occassions... almost clostly

The fit issue is that players like donato, bjork, cehlarik have spent much of their 2018-2019 season with guys like frederic, backes and Nordstrom as their linemates.
Very true. Pretty tough for anyone to succeed.

It looks like he doesn't think the game at a high enough level to be a NHL regular. I see things I like in his game but I just don't think it's going to work out for him.

I do not like the kid or his game. Don't really know what it is, maybe the way he carries himself and then obviously his on ice game/effort I don't care for. He could maybe be a serviceable player, but his skating is going to be an issue, and I don't foresee his future being in a spoked B at the NHL level.

He seems slow to me. I wonder if Paul Carey is taking his spot on Thursday. I figure that Carey is just another tweener but it's his turn.

gift wrapped a spot next to DK and is doing squat with it. I was long on the belief that our organizational depth was something to envy and I still think there are many good looking kids but they just aren`t ready yet and Cehlarik is not close to being ready if he ever will be. I don`t see NHL skating, I see questionable at best decision making, I see an effort that is questionable.

A little harsh

but I do agree....as the intensity has pickedup..... Cehlarik hasn't been able to match/overcome it

His offensive zone moments are usually good...but otherwise he is not a plus player.

He lacks a high hockey IQ or above average skating to help him reach the next step

It's time for the Bruins to move on from him, after a great start he has completely fizzled out. His lack of foot speed is a real issue that he seems unable to rise above.

Here's the thing with Cehlarik for me. If he was saddled with terrible players, but making smart plays, etc and the results weren't there, it'd be easy to chalk it up to who he's playing with.

However, he's not doing that. He doesn't have great hockey IQ either, which is a massive red flag for me.

They've given him time with Krejci, and he's looked worse.

I'm done with this player. It's not going to work out. He has no spot in this lineup once the injured return.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - MoJo
Heinen - Coyle - Backes
Wagner - Acciari - Kuraly

Where does Cehlarik fit in there? MAYBE 3rd line LW and shift Heinen to RW? But frankly as poor as Backes has been all year, I'd keep him on that line to start with.

what part do you find harsh? I haven`t felt remotely close to feeling Cehlarik has done anything to seize the opportunity he`s been given.

agree - what i was most surprised about is he has had his ice time cut recently and when given a chance i just dont see alot of intensity of fire. Same goes with Frederic.

his first 4-6 games with the big club he looked good, was involved, not hesitating with the puck nor without it, made the simple plays, played hard, now.......he`s been putrid

I’ll take Cehlarik over Backes and Nordström any day of the week.
Honestly I think that Backes, as poor as he's been this year, brings more to the team than Cehlarik does at this point. Especially on a Coyle & Heinen line. That line could be a posession monster in the offensive zone. Might not pop a lot of goals, but they can absolutely drive the play. The heavy on the puck part of Backes game hasn't gone away. He also does think the game well, even if he doesn't have the foot speed anymore.

Not to mention he can sub in for Coyle on draws if needed. Don't discount that.

Imo likely last we have seen of Celly in a Bruins inform

Unless Sweeney signs him to the minimal and trades him (offseason)

Unfortunate he couldnt put it together

I think Frederic's tentativeness stems from being so young and maybe not wanting to make a mistake.

Cehlarik, who I was certainly behind when he got called up, hasn't done anything to take advantage of this opportunity.

He's really been a disappointment.

This is the same conclusion me and my son came to last night. Both of us have seen him live and felt that he has all the tools (his skating isn't all that great) and really wanted to see him succeed, but I think it's nearing midnight for #22

Backes also makes some very strong but subtle plays along the boards to get the puck out of the zone. I agree...I'd definitely want him in over Cehlarik and probably Nordstrom, to be honest.

Boston will give him a qualifying offer,he won't sign it,they'll trade him for a conditional 2020 4th round pick and I'll start a thread October Why does Cassidy dislike young players who struggle defensively

Yep he's back to the A. Too bad, he had a real shot to make a case for himself and blew it. I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved since he is at the end of his contract.

Its been 2 and a half seasons now

And he couldnt crack the code

Assuming he will get a crack somewhere else or go back to Europe next season
