Even though McDavid's game is based on speed, he's still a very cerebral player who I think can maintain a high level even as his speed declines.

How many points have come with goaltenders pulled?
How many points have come in gimmick 3on3 OTs?

He has 16 EV goals this year. That is WORSE than Jordan Kyrou who is a terrible hockey player. He is suppose to be a 40-50 goal scorer but won't come close this year because his PP numbers are down. What makes that stat even sadder is Colorado is #3 in the league for PPO so, as usual and as I stated, they have had PLENTY of time to pad those stats on PPs.

MacGinnon isn't bad. He's the perfect go to the net type of player who can make any line significant threat just on his own.

Few if any teams in the league would turn down MacGinnon at 4m x 4 years to be a menace on the third line as a winger.

The best players are all great. What puts them into tiers, some higher than others, is leading their club to a Cup. McKinnon lead his club to a cup. He is in that higher tier with the other best players who have accomplished the same. Those who haven’t done that are a tier below.
