Can we discuss ice time distribution? Jesse Puljujarvi was used for seven shifts tonight, according to NHL.com. Seven shifts. A game that we trailed for much of it. His ice time tonight was 04:58. We were down a goal late, Michael Bunting was on the ice, he was minus-3 tonight. Anthony Beauvillier, who was minus-3 and took a brutal penalty that would have gotten Puljujarvi waived had it been him, was also on the ice late.

When we say that a coaching change won't change everything, it's true. It won't. But can we try it and see?

It is disgusting what has happened to my team.

Marshall has said that it’s a coaching issue going back to last spring. He tweeted it’s the same defensive system as last year, with the same mistakes being made, despite Quinn coming in just yesterday or the day before. Tf is he talking about
Nothing worse than those wannabe pens pundits trying to emulate Yohe and the established ones, not the coach it’s the players all 80 of them in the last 7 years

It's really sad and illogical to let Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlson end their careers like this. Crosby and Malkin especially deserve to play for a Stanley Cup contending team.

I was wrong: it wasn’t an EK pass to nowhere that would do us in with the game on the line…it was a Letang pass to nowhere lol

This team never got close to setting up in the Wild zone or putting a shot on MAF with the goalie pulled…

Caps are leading the Rangers and outshooting them 40-14. While on the other hand, it´s still October, but our season is already effectively over.

Yep. But remember according to the enlightened fans of this board trading Jarry for PLD would’ve been moronic.

Must be nice to have a GM who is focused on honoring your stars by trying to win instead of throwing the season for 2nd round picks.

Get ready for the empty seats, coming to PPG Paints real soon. How anyone in their right mind can say that coaching isn't issue #1 is beyond me. And this is someone who defended Sully for a good portion of last year. The excuse that it's the players not doing their jobs is, quite frankly, BS. Sully had a hand in the selection of at least some of those players, and as a coach if he can't put a foot of their butts, then he's of no use. Yes, he'd get another job 10 minutes after being fired, but his time here is done!

I know….id like to see one of them address how the team has changed rosters a billion times in the last several years and the same problems all pop up defending with every new group of players…is that just coincidence lol?

This isn't about contending for a Cup. This is about competing nightly. Doing your job, the one you get paid to do. Whether it is the captain, the head coach, the GM, or the people overseeing this operation, nobody is doing their jobs right now.

And you know what, F%$& Fleury. Who cares. This organization is living in the past like the Montreal Canadiens are. I am sick of this shit.

Bunting needs to be stapled to a railroad track and Beauvillier hasn't done anything in weeks. A gigantic losing streak is the perfect time to force feed them opportunities.

This team needs a coaching change as badly as the 2008-09 team did. The result won't be anywhere near the change, but I'm at the point where I think any voice that isn't the HC's would immediately improve things a thousand times over. Sullivan has no answers and keeps trying the same bullshit that keeps failing over and over and over. It's insulting to our intelligence to say he's too good to fire. Hell, even if he wins the goddamned Stanley Cup with someone else after being fired - it still needs done. We need a fresh perspective. Thank you for your service, now f*** right off to a better job elsewhere.

All these arguments like "it's not a coaching thing, this team's done" and "not even a coaching change fixes this". Who gives a f***? Dude's been a failure since he went deer in the headlights during Trotz's Isles forecheck in 2019 and it's been downhill since. You fire him because he's a f***ing loser and sucks at his job, not because it's gonna miraculously make this team relevant again.

I guess you keep him for the remainder of the season, cuz they're staring down a top-5 pick. But again, fire him before he has any real influence on the draft or off-season. Dude's gonna campaign for some off-the-board pick and Dubas is gonna take a 5'10 kid who projects to be a 3C.

If he’s so good why does he even WANT to coach this team? It’s been 7 years of beating a dead horse. Reeks of complacency. He would get hired by somebody else within the year.
