I don't think it'll happen this year.

Petry and Letang and TJ will come back. The Isles suck worse than we do. We'll most likely play a little better with them back and make it into the playoffs.

Once we get there, I suppose anything can happen, but we'll probably be one and done. It'd rule to beat the Bruins though.

The 26th is coming up fast... The Pigeon will be left behind us... Just gotta get to that one last game, and we'll be just fine after.

Remember this...

Until then.

Don’t you mean there’s Sully everywhere in that washroom?

Since Jarry went down the Penguins are 25th in goal production.
That’s the weird thing. The offense is so unreliable and the top 9 has been healthy for the longest time in recent memory. Losing a couple of PMD is tough but a moron decided to keep using Ruhwedel for a long time before he even bothered to play Friedman.

That's a community wash room, everyone has had a hand to some degree. I have like 3 digits on one hand of guys who didn't shit up the place.

Yeah it’s moronic.

CDS is a problem. If you don't see it, you don't wanna see it.

CDS is an average back up who is dirt cheap. He’s fine.

Tough game with the refs calling such a high amount of penalties and Ottawa having such a good power play to deal with on top of it. Probably lucky to get out of there with a point in this one.

So he’s one of the best back ups?
No, because there are obviously teams with two bad goalies.

He currently has the worst save percentage, worst GAA, worst adjusted GAA, and worst GSAA of his career. His quality start percentage is 48th out of goalies with at least 10 appearances.

Jarry is 9th in GSAA. DeSmith is 36th in 18 games. Goalies who have played 10-18 games who rank ahead of DeSmith:

Filip Gustavsson, MIN
Kevin Lankinen, NSH
Craig Anderson, BUF
Alex Stalock, CHI
Ilya Samsanov, TOR
Pavel Francouz, COL
Sam Montembault, MON
Thomas Greiss, STL
Semyon Varlamov, NYI
Akira Schmid, NJ
Jeremy Swayman, BOS
Joonas Korpisalo, CBJ
Adin Hill, VGK

It is a convincing post.
I would however say that I still agree with Pixie about THIS game.

There were so many laugh out loud moments in this one.

So many players on this team have empty space between the ears.

But there can't possibly be a dumber player in this organization than DOC.

And calling out the refs is so f***ing lazy. Log off.

As I said earlier, DeSmith is not the sole reason the Penguins lost. Nine Ottawa power plays doesn't help. A poor PK performance contributed. Only getting offense from the Malkin line.

But DeSmith gave up a lousy goal - one that even he said he should have saved - in a crucial moment. It's a frequent occurrence this year.

So, yes. The Penguins need lots of things. They need health on defense. They need SOMETHING injected into the bottom six. And guess what, they also need a goalie to not shit the bed in a clutch moment. Because I'll extend this complaint to Jarry - when was the last time Jarry stood on his head for an entire game and got a win the Penguins didn't deserve solely through his efforts?

Seems to me that happens against the Penguins every so often. Why can't the Penguins be the beneficiary of it once in a while?

Blueger had that great moment deep in his own zone, facing the boards, when he made that no-look pass (between his legs?) to the slot, right on the tape of a Sens player.

This is what happens when you let Burke, Hextall and Sullivan run a team. The three stooges.

Open the deep pockets and end the circus.

Cool so using stupid goalie analytics he’s the 48th best goaltender in the league and 49th in cap hit.

He’s providing what we pay for and we can’t afford to pay for more tbh.
