Deffo a little harder if it's not full timing and full adrenaline. But to a certain extent I think they're deliberately taking a few risks and trying a few things. Realistically, having a team try stuff and fine tune their handling by taking risky options isn't the worst use of pre-season. Get the defensive structure back, get the hands back. And this is pre-season.

And yeah, don't go so soft you go in half-hearted and get hurt... but don't go all out and get hurt.

Honestly, as long as the team's playing better every period, then it's okay. And I think that happened.

Yeah, how I see it, with the proviso that, as with Murray in net, there's a very short leash-- as in opening faceoff Saturday-- for looking at it this way.

It's great for the reason that some of this might stick around when fans are allowed back in games, which makes for some awesome visuals for breakaways or a better view of a well executed powerplay coming to fruition.

Well we don't have to worry about the latter where the Pens are concerned.
