I agree that there was more to it than goaltending but barely. If the Pens get .900 save% that series they win in 5.

The Isles.. I don't know. That was a complete performance that was undone entirely by Jarry literally giving away multiple games.

Ehh, the Rangers stars took like five games to show up last spring, and Sid/Jake showed up for the first time since 2018 in the playoffs. The stars aligned for them to make the 2nd round and they still couldn't get it done. There won't be an opportunity that good for this team again in the era, imo.

And the Pens outshot the Isles, big deal. Like half that team's roster had as many points, combined, in that 1st round as Kucherov did himself. If they made it past the Isles, they weren't going anywhere. Production from everybody not named Geno was horrendous. /shrug
