Crosby, Malkin, Rust, Bunting, Rakell, OC, Eller, Hayes, Lizotte (9)

Are locks to make the roster.

4-5 forward spots up for grabs IMO.

Top candidates:
Acciari
McGroarty
Puustinen
Beauvillier
Poulin
Glass

Long shot vets:
Poolparty
Bemstrom
Gruden
Nieto

Long shot prospects:
Ponomarev
Koivunen

Acciari, Puus, Beauvillier, Glass feels like the most logical and boring outcome. Will be interesting if Poulin or McGroarty or the other youngsters really push. There really should be a plan for Pono imo. Need to have an idea of what he is and his potential role by this time next year.

lol…that’s not going to be the lines…

DailyFaceoff has something very similar with the only difference being the 3rd line.

Rakell, Crosby, Rust
Bunting, Malkin, McGroarty
O'Connor, Hayes, Glass =/= Beauvillier, Hayes, O'Connor
Lizotte, Eller, Acciari

Pettersson, Karlsson
Graves, Letang
Grzelcyk, Aho

There are only so many scenarios that could conceivably put into place. I trust the top line isn't out of touch considering the goal is to make Crosby comfortable and he should get the top 2 wingers until it doesn't work.

McGroarty on Malkins line isn't out of place if he earns the spot.

Any form of the 3rd line seems passable.

The 4th line (though it's too expensive) is whatever.

I do find a switch up of Graves and Grzelcyk to start is in order, but Grzelcyk's size being a deterrent.

I think Sid prefers DOC on his line to Rakell…

Taylor has outright said, multiple times, to not pay attention to these lines.

You are getting yourself worked up for absolutely no reason.

There will be plenty of opportunity to complain about lines when it matters.

I added the video link to my post above.

Farkas and allegedly the Jets board say otherwise:

Again, saying I can do something and actually doing said thing are two different things.

I'd be thrilled if he can play both W but won't believe it til I see it.

I don't even have "C" down as a secondary position for him until I go back to his 15 year old season. LW all the way. He plays like one, acts like one, shoots like one. Never seen him at RW I don't believe ever. At least I have seen him line up at center before, but I wouldn't say that's necessarily on the table for him going forward...
You can't take what he say's as fact when it's coming from the guys own mouth, and he's never seen him play RW means he's never seen him at the college level.

Throughout this video has him on the RW.

First of all, let's be an NHLer first.

Second, "I'm comfortable at either wing" is something most guys would say. It's highly questionable that someone who played both wings would say "it's the same thing" because it's very much not, especially for a player of his particular set of skills. But to be fair, if there are doofuses (doofi?) in the crowd that don't know what F1 is or whatever, then sure, no reason to go into detail anyhow...

Third, I'll admit I haven't seen every single shift he's ever played. But considering his power play production, I hope folks aren't confusing "players playing the right dot on the power play" as being a RWer in highlight videos.

EDIT: Oh ****, as I was typing it...haha
