Loving our team, they really had another gear against this aging Penguins team. I couldn't believe how slow, stiff, and non-impactful, one of my favorite all-time Senators player of all time, Erik Karlsson looked. He is a shadow of himself with a huge huge salary. Felt terrible for him to be honest

Erik Karlsson’s net worth / earnings / salary history: Earned US $121,551,829 (US $145,640,942 in today's dollars), ranking #10 in NHL / hockey career earnings.

He'll be fine.

So in light of soogard being a sieve the last 2 games since his injury, and meralainen needing more playing time, do we see Malcolm Subban backing up Ullmark ?

Sogaard won't ever be n nhl goalie for this team. He just gets blown out way too often and it’s happened his entire career. He either gives you a Chance to win or a chance to get blow out.

I think a call up for the road trip would be a nice reward for Leevi given the quality of his play. Mads can try and get his groove back with some starting time in Belleville.

Either way I think it would be prudent to start moving away from Sogaard and give Merilainen some NHL starts where possible.

Sens have 15 wins .. 13 when they score 1st.

I think the winning % is high when scoring first across the NHL. I found a 2016 article that said 67% of the time .. Anyone know a more recent stat?

I don’t think it can be understated how important this next stretch of the season is.

IMO it will decide where we are going for the rest of the year.

that said, i am over the moon that this team is rolling in on this stretch of games on such a high note. Everyone seems to be sticking to the plan and buying in. Ullmark has arrived and will help lead us, feels good to not be out of things by Christmas.

I thought they had a .5 game for second there. Nah. They got it. Two more games. I think Ullmark and Brady can do it

I missed nearly the whole game last night .. out for dinner.

Watching it now.. thru 2 periods. Ullmark was very good again. The whole team played really well on a back to back .. This team missed some glorious chances and could have been up by a couple more. Lots of good zone time. Loved the hit by Kleven on Acciari. Pinto having a good 2 way game .. missed the net on a great chance. He is going to be a force .. No way the Sens should entertain moving him.

I'm scared to even say anything positive, I'm so fragile, but it feels so f***ing good to finally feel what it is to have a real goalie - and a team that might be pointed in the right direction. I say that because the lows are low as a fan of the Sens.
Isn't that the truth, we are fragile, that's what 7 years of disappointment will do to you!
