GDT: Pens @ Rangers Part II

Rangers needed more depth and they got it.

It's only one game, but Brassard and Clowe are playing far more engaged than Gabby did for most of the year. Hopefully they continue to be involved after the glow of the trade fades off. I like their decisiveness so far.

As much as I'm enjoying this game and the way Clowe and Brassard are playing, let's not forget the great Rangers lesson that was Aaron Voros!

This Brassard kid...wow. Whoever said that he was the actual centerpiece of the trade for the Rangers was spot on. All of a sudden we have crazy center depth.

I did say he was going to be a great fit for this team. 3rd line center (very capable), creative and great on PP. ALL Things we were lacking

So which Penguin does something dirty in the 3rd period?

A) Malkin
B) Neal
C) Cooke
D) Other

i think neal probably isn't generally that kind of player. but there are plenty of other guys to do damage. doesn't orpik like to injure knees?

making excuse for Penguins 4 new players.. Rangers have 3.. good job NBC sports :help:

I'm really happy for Clowe and the Rangers, but I'm kinda sad watching this game. I think I will be rooting for the Rangers as long as Clowe is on your team. Unless they play the Sharks of course.

I think the Sharks had to do it. Have to shake things up from time to time when struggling. Plus Torres is going to do a good job for them I think. Hopefully they can resign him as it would replace some of the elements Clowe gavfe

Anyone who thinks this is what the Rangers will play like going forward is in for a rude awakening. This is a throw away game for the Pens.

Gee thanks! I was totally expecting to be winning every game 5-1 going into the 3rd from now on.

jfc :shakehead

yes Orpik likes to go knee on knee (i.e. stepan hit). But Cooke is dirtiest player in NHL

pyatt looked pretty lively in his short time on ice. he was actually a bit of a factor.

Wow I hope you are not even remotely comparing Ryane Clowe with Aaron Voros??? Please no

Im a little worried that we look this good but Torts hasnt had time to teach the new guys the "system" yet. Please dont ruin them. lol
