GDT: Pens @ Rangers - Game 3 - Part II

Once again, somehow, this team just can't get up and go against the big boys of the league. We have all the tools, there's just nothing there. The lights are on, but no one is home.

I mean, wow.

First of all, you don't suck your way to 57 points unless every one of them were deflected goals off the opposing team, or secondary assists that hit your skate on accident.

Stepan was excellent last year, had a rough start but really picked it up this year. He's not a good skater, but he's got excellent hockey IQ, soft hands (yeah, I said that), and a great defensive stick. It's a privilege having him on this team that can't develop centers for ****ing ****.

Yeah, I watch the ****ing games, and I see a damn good hockey player.
 
Can we start the gameday thread for Game 4 now? Because this game is OVER.
 
Yes, the Rangers offense that can't bury a goal for five straight periods isn't the issue. It's Lundqvist not being able to stop multiple breakaways.

Just curious, how many is he supposed to stop before the Rangers actually score a goal or stop giving said breakaways up?

You want to know what the result would be with Talbot in net? The exact same as it is now. The Rangers losing Game 2 and trailing in Game 3.

Pens didnt kill any PP's...thats my point..Its the Rangers hitting the post and not cashing in...Pens Penalty killing wasnt anything resembling good...didnt block shots...didnt do much of anything..but just watch the Rangers pass the puck around...both Pen goals were setup by Ranger passing...and last game the 1st Pen goal was an own goal... Lack of Rangers scoring and desperation at the end led to the other 2 Pen goals...Pens have done nothing this series..Rangers are beating themselves... If Rangers had cashed in on say only 20% of their PP opportunities.. They be up 2-0 in this series... Pens are no shows..Rangers helping them...but...big 3rd coming up...LGR!!!!!!
 
The ironic thing is that the pens havent been too good this series. if the rangers top players actually gave a damn we would be up 2-0 with a good chance this game

You skipped a whole lot of school did you? Outplayed? 2 clean breakaway goals and he is being outplayed?! How many breakaway saves have Fleury had to make?
 
Doom and gloom is warranted. Look at the franchise we're talking about.

Still, they have two more games to right the ship and have a pulse.

Fleury is bound to evaporate. Maybe not tonight but I can't see him doing this for four straight games.
 
I mean we've been good today not really much to complain about other than the horrid zucc drop pass. We've controlled the play. The powerplay other than the first has looked good. We've had a lot of shots and chances and bit 3 posts. Just gotta put it in

knicks 41 years

Yes, considering that the teams were at least drawn with the gwg.

And besides Nash coul score the 2-1 goal, and we'd win 7-1 and he'd be credited the gwg. Can you stop saying Nash single handedly awarded this team the playoffs
 
We'll be heading into yet another offseason with a desperate need for a scoring/playmaking #1 center.
 
Rangers haven't beaten Fleury since in between the end of OT game 1 and the start of game 2.
 
What ****ing pisses me off is not the 2 goals, the breakaways, or the lack of finish, it's that we actually ****ing didn't shoot the puck in the goalie all game like we usually do and still 3 posts. If there is a God he ****ing despises this team.
 
Hank isn't the problem. He held us in the game yesterday. Scoring is our problem, and the PP is killing us.
