The most surprising thing about tonight to me are the reactions here. After following the GDT, I’m actually kind of shocked.

How did so many of you NOT expect something like this? Like, seriously, did you really expect them to win?

ANYONE who has even somewhat closely followed the 22-23 Pens had to have expected this.
hope the islanders win tomorrow night so the pens season can finally end.

come on down Jarry apologists explain to us using your big boy words how this game isn't Jarry's fault because ya know an NHL goalie can't be expected to stop anything difficult.

unless your name is Peter Mrazek

Yeah we needed to do a full rebuild last summer. Oh well. Nice ceremonies at least.
Yep, the writing was on the wall actually a couple years ago. We should have traded assets before last year's trade deadline, but finally people will now get the message. Better late than never I guess. Fortunately we did not trade our first rounder.

I’m gonna end this night watching highlights of the best goalie in franchise history shutting out Nashville two games in a row to win the Stanley Cup.

Thankfully we’ve got a thread going on the good times

At this point, do we really want to see these losers play Boston? They would humiliate us

It's tough, I want to see Sid and Geno in what might be their last playoffs. And yet if they do make it and get shit kicked, Sully will get the benefit of the doubt for not only getting there but losing to a historically good team

2016 nostalgia dreams that will never come back to us no matter how hard we try. Father time is undefeated. Crosby is old, Malkin is a fossil, Letang is coming off a stroke. Rust sucks, everyone else is uninspired. Just blow it up and try again.

I didn't think Sullivan had the courage or integrity to take GCR, run it straight into the ground and go along for the ride...but he did it. You cant say he's not loyal. Lol.

Seriously should've won that one but its hockey. Goalies do this all the time. But you still have to give yourself the best chance to win, and sticking to certain players on certain lines because you have a long relationship with those players doesn't do that.

This is painful, but had to happen. There are no words to describe this loss, but we all half expected it. This really shouldn't be shocking, but when you look at the epic level of failure it is. Only truly horrific performance can pull off something like this.

They just gave up 4 goals in the third to the worst team in the NHL, while tied, playing an elimination game. This is who they are.
