Yep, the Pens are the only team to take liberties after the whistle.

This generation of NHL fans I swear. No idea what goonery really is. I saw one headline term a scrum at the end a 'brawl'. Wtf. Really? Thats not a brawl. No wonder the ************* of the game continues. Bunch of sissies

They still employ goonish players and scatter them all over their line up. Some kind of "protect the stars" strategy.

Here's the jist of my opinion, and this will probably be my last post for tonight because I have a physics midterm I need to study for. I have no issue with people calling the Pens dirty. They definitely employ some questionable players, and they definitely do things that are over the line. However, what I do have an issue with is people that act like the Pens are the dirtiest team in the league, they constantly try and injure players or that every team doesn't go stuff after whistles. It's just stuff that people are using for mental gymnastics to somehow justify the Pens as some devil team. When they get called out on it, they bring up irrelevant events (2012 Flyers series) or bring up things that literally every team does, and they act like literally every team doesn't do that. It's all just mental gymnastic and being purposefully ignorant that's annoying.

If the Pens were the dirtiest team in the league, their dirtiest player wouldn't have 1 suspension in the last 5 years, they wouldn't have only 1 suspension this year and they would have actually hurt someone this year. They haven't.

The Penguins employ 1 player who fits the definition of a goon and that is Zack Sill who has been outright timid this year.

Name one team that doesn't employ dirty players.
