Most of the Metro is kryptonite to the Pens. They only really do well against Columbus and Philly.

I turned it off after the 1st. Saw the Isles scored 3 in like a 5 minute span.

Those high flying Isles, man. Always a threat to explode offensively.

This team really misses Petts -- although he's only a mid-pairing guy on a good team, on THIS team he's Rod Freakin' Langway and our left-side D is an absolute joke without him there; any team playing POJ, Gryz & Graves (in that order, no less) is tanking whether they admit it or not. I'm not really sure what a "Nathan Clurman" is, but he couldn't be any worse than what Sully is currently going with.

Petts being available would help stabilize whichever one of our erratic RHD he is paired with, and push some AHL-level scrub (POJ or Shea) out of the lineup.

Three of our lines had xGF% of less than 6%, two even had zero, yes zero percent. And the top line wasn't so bad in terms of expected goals but allowed three actual goals while scoring zero. Against a team that was recently annihilated by the Sabres, no less.

Yes, Jarry mostly sucks but with the way the Pens are defending they would be going nowhere even if they had the best goalie in the world. Dumb error after dumb error. Gryz being an actual NHL D-man is an inspiring story of a sort - to be so bad at your job and still convince someone to pay you millions year after year. I envy the man.

Malkin had a decent hop in his step after a few days break and made some nice passes but his wingers wouldn't score in a brothel except for Bunting who mostly scores away from Geno anyway, or so it seems.

Trade Rakell while he is hot and whoever else you can find buyers for, deluding yourself that one good line (which often gets exposed defensively nevertheless) makes a playoff team despite said team having one of the worst defenses in the league and questionable goaltending is a lunacy.

Puljujarvi has sat out 12 of our last 13 games. During that span, Beauvillier has 2 goals, zero assists and O'Connor has zero goals and four assists. And these are the options for Mike Sullivan to play on the Malkin line since Tomasino is too good offensively to play there (or something).

AND, if he ever decided to put Puljujarvi back in the lineup, Tomasino would be the odd man out. You know it, I know it.

We can only go as far as our coach's lineup decisions.
