Rakell really takes a step down in his play when he’s on L2 with Geno…if we’re going to play a kid and Rust with Sid next season, that’s even more reason to trade Rakell, which should have happened already!

Boston was in the playoffs until the injuries and sell off. Pasta is good, great even, but the bulk of his points came on a better team with higher aspirations. They were just way better at bottoming out
I didn’t watch this game but I saw that Pono had only 10 minutes of ice time and like barely anything in the third period…wasn’t good on FOs but Sullivan is up to his old tricks lol…I mean was it more important to win that game or give young players, particularly one who will not be waiver exempt next season, a good look and some experience? So what if the coach doesn’t trust him atm…this is why I’ll probably have a stroke if Sullivan is back next season lol

A good coach would notice this. You know who generally looks really good with Geno? Superstar Bryan Rust... who apparently can't be demoted from the top line nowadays.

Funny story - when Cody Glass seemingly scored with a one-timer from near the blue line my jaw was literally hanging open. Then on replay I saw that his shot was going well wide until it hit a teammate and everything was right with the world again.

7pts in 11 games though mate. That’s more than enough to also show another player that was liberated from the dipshit Sullivan usage and thrived. A tale as old as time at this point.

I wanted Sully fired four years ago, so believe I’m there with you. But they’re not going to do it with 4 games left in the season.
It’s just a little annoying coming on here after a nice win, one where our 21 year old winger continues to look good and like a legit piece, one where our all-time legend captain works his way into the top 10 of league scoring, a comeback(!) win where we rattle off four unanswered, and see such angst.
The draft is a crapshoot historically, moving up or down a couple places can be a blessing or a curse, but there’s no way of knowing. I just want to see them end the season on a positive note, so we can go into next season ready to roll. Between Kouvinen, McGroarty, Brunicke… we have guys that can infuse skill and youth. We might have two first round picks fighting there way into the lineup, we might sign a UFA or two, make a big trade… you never know.
Maybe I’m crazy, but I’m starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel here and I don’t want to spend that time being bitter that Sullivan didn’t hit the road after the Canadiens covid disaster.

I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel because first off - you’re seeing these young players play near the end of the season and getting chances the dipshit coach never wanted to give them for 70+ games during the season. So now I am supposed to feel good that some lads are finally playing during a rebuild where most teams don’t wait this long to give youth a shot?
It’s been rinse and repeat of this for years now and nothing changes. Well actually, all the wrong things change while the one that needs to be changed, remains. I can’t see past that yet because I’ve seen enough of that bullshit from this coach to not be fooled by it.
